I loved how this set turned out, although it is on the higher priced end for what I got. At the time, its $46.99 for the set. It did include some extras, but you can tell its as a courtesy and not so much for functionality. There are aprons and table cloths included, but one rambunctious kiddo, marker, or move later and theyre torn up. I grabbed extras at the dollar tree store that were much, much thicker. The same for the aprons. The kids could not be contained so I made sure everyone was in old clothes before we started our party. The kit itself has a ton of colors. Thats really the true treasure in the set. There are some subdued tones, nature tones, and a lot of variety in purple/blue/red/green tones. Theres even gray and black in this set, which I havent really seen. Most color sets just focus on ROYGBIV. The bottles in this kit are small, though. It takes 3-4 bottles for the kids to make a shirt, and 5-6 for me to make an adult medium. This means theres only enough for 6-8 items because of course the kids are going to be a little wasteful. We did end up with 6 kids shirts, and 3 adult shirts out of the set, but used a lot of colors we didnt really want to just to make it stretch such as a black, gray, and green combo that Ill probably wear in the garden. The gloves for this are pretty terrible. Theyre too big for little hands, and too clumsy for big hands. I just used cheap garden gloves. No worries if they get stained because we use them for walnuts anyway. Really, the investment was in the colors. I do wish the colors had came in powder packets on the side with a spoon. As it is, you have to mix an entire bottle to get a little color, or try to mix in a separate container and hope when you use it again, the dye is strong enough. I feel like Im being a little harsh, as we did have fun with the set, it just needs some improvement for the value added extras and packaging. There were a ton of colors. No one was really disappointed in being able to get a shade of blue or pink hue or green for their shirt as those are staples of any tie dye party. The included rubber bands were nice and the color on these seems color fast so far. I waited almost a full 24 hours to rinse, and once they rinsed clean, I put them all through their own hand wash cycle so no one had bleeding. I havent done a second wash yet, but after the first wash we had nice colors still yet. If youre doing a small party, need lots of colors, and can swing it this is a nice set just grab some cheap gloves, aprons, and tablecloths on the side or have the kiddos do the dye somewhere it wont matter and in old clothes. The extra included plastic isnt useless, but its more for careful adults and not the rambunctiousness that is my niece and nephew.

I bought this kit for my daughters. There are tons of colors to choose from and the shirts turned out great. Color stayed during washing too. Great kit!

Yes this is a large set - but 120 of 169 pieces are rubber bands. Are the additional items useful? Yes. With 26 awesome bright and vibrant colors you should be able to make just about any color you want or already have it made here! The bottles are filled with pigment powder - and the box feels very light - but once you add water you will see that everything works perfectly! This set has enough to make approximately 5 shirts - while there are 26 colors the bottles only hold 60 ml of water with the color powder. However we were making shirts for my kids and pillowcases so we were able to get 4 kids shirts and 5 pillow cases completed - while they were not all my top color picks we did have enough coloring. Great set!

This is a great set for a rainy day family activity, or a playdate with a small group of friends. There is a nice assortment of colors for tie-dying. You can use the aprons that come with the set, or buy some plain t-shirts.

Perfect for Family projects

I had a kit prior to this and the colors werent super vibrant. This kit blew that out of the water. I thought I was doing something wrong, but it was just the quality. This kit is awesome! I love tie-dye. The colors came out so well. They are very vibrant! I love it!
