> 3 dayI have an outward opening window. It is old and was not properly painted when it was installed. I had to adjust how I attached the Velcro to the frame due to the paint issues and all the crazy little trim accents that arent wide enough for the Velcro. But, it has worked great. There have been several bad rainstorms and only a tiny little bit of water has made it in. And that water stayed in the window opening. I did not close the window for any of the storms. Im impressed with the ease of installation and quality so far. Ive had it installed for 3 weeks now.

> 3 dayI was having problems finding one of these for a door i need to use. I have a entertainment room near a back door. i convinced myself that the 400cm would work on it even though this is specifically for a window. It works great. Just make sure that the one you order measures out to the same size you order. In my case the top, bottom and one side measured to 400cm and that is what i got. For 19 bucks it really fits good im glad i got it. If i had bought one for a door i dont think it could have fit much better. Even better if you have a flip over ball and glide type security lock like i do. It keeps the door locked but allows the door to be open about 2 inches. Works great , I like it.

Greater than one weekI can’t believe how well this works! I’ve had a nice portable AC unit in an upstairs room that has limped along for years. The plastic piece never fit the window, then it cracked and we just duct taped it, it was a mess. I kept the unit on 62 and it worked constantly and the room was still uncomfortable and too warm. When I saw this, i couldn’t figure out how it could possibly work, but I didn’t want to buy another kit just like the one I’d had. For the price I was willing to give it a try. I did the job myself! It took longer to clean the window frames and windows than it did to install it! When I put the hose in and zipped it up, I thought “there’s no way hot air won’t leak around that zipper, just no way.” I turned it on, the hot air went through the hose and out the window, the plastic filled out like a sail and formed a vacumn around the collar of the hose and it was like magic! The AC unit actually works the way it’s intended now. It’s get to temperature then backs off and kind of Idles, then blows cold air again, etc. It used to just work full out all the time and never could keep up. I’m actually having to turn up the temperature some days because it’s too cold! Unbelievable. For the price point, it’s incredible. It’s only been a week since I installed it, but it’s holding up fine and I’m so happy with it so far. My windows are the kind that slide up and down, not open to the side as shown in the advertisement. They’re large. I bought the 500 cm kit.

> 3 dayThis is a great idea with an interesting implementation, and with a few minor alterations to the design it would be perfect. As it is, it does a great job. First, the Velcro sides should be flipped. They send a roll of prickly side for the sticker for your window and have the soft side sewn in. While trying to run your finger over the Velcro you stick on your window frame, it is going to hurt, but if they made the soft side the side that was stuck on the window, there wouldn’t be that problem. Second, the ordering instructions say to order the closest rounded number to your window perimeter, but that will leave a small crack if your window is slightly larger than the size, so if your window perimeter is over 400cm, get the 500cm. As it sits, the edge that follows along the physical window has spots that bunch up. Which leads me to my last complaint, 100cm is WAY too big for that to be the size difference options. I needed a 425 or 450, as my window perimeter was 416cm, but getting the 500cm would have been crazy. But now I have a small section of my casement that leaks the hot air back in. I will have to make a small two sided strip to fit the difference. Over all though, this is a great solution to this problem. My summer will be nice and cool because of this product!

> 3 dayEasy to install once I gave it a little thought. I have a crank out window. I’ve put some pics that may help show how it works. Only thing I felt needed to be better is how to seal up around the hose itself. Three zip ties are provided and I used one threaded through the zipper pulls to hold it shut but it doesn’t seal tight and I was worried about bugs so I used the handy woman’s secret weapon - duct tape and did a sloppy job of it. I may redo that with white duct tape. All in all works great and is 1000% better than the cardboard + duct tape contraption I was using before.

Greater than one weekHaving a west facing second story bedroom with a balcony I have suffered through a few summers and thought this might be the answer to adding an AC unit to the room. Unfortunately they didn’t include the Velcro strips to attach this to the door. I’m still hopeful it’ll work… just with a little more effort on my part.

> 3 dayI was really glad to find a way to connect a portable air conditioner to my window. I have very tall windows that open from the bottom out, so this was the only option I saw, but it works. The instructions are garbage. They’re confusing and only instruct you on one type of window, opens inward from the side. I found the instructional video and could piece together what I needed to do and change it to fit my needs, but it took several views and at some points I had to go back and forth between the video, written instructions, the pieces in my hand, and the window and frame in front of me to be able to figure out what I needed to do. Once I figured it out it was easy, if a bit tedious and clumsy. Better instructions and more window types included would be nice. The wind sometimes blows into the trapped plastic area, and the street noise isn’t blocked at all, but when the air conditioner is on none of that matters. It keeps me cool and that’s what I was after. Like I said in the beginning, I was just happy to find a way to attach my air conditioner to my window.

Greater than one weekHorrible directions. Had to watch the video 20x. Still think it was wrong. If you live where it downpours, itll start leaking through the Velcro and soak your floor.
