> 3 dayHaving a west facing second story bedroom with a balcony I have suffered through a few summers and thought this might be the answer to adding an AC unit to the room. Unfortunately they didn’t include the Velcro strips to attach this to the door. I’m still hopeful it’ll work… just with a little more effort on my part.

> 3 dayI like that it actually works! Once I figured out how to install it properly...it took a couple tries but managed in a about an hour to finally do it right. Watch the video a couple time helped!

> 3 dayI was pleased to find this easy solution when I was gifted a used portable A/C unit without any sort of window fit kit, especially for my outward opening windows. Although the directions were not quite as clear for outward opening windows, they did describe the adjustments that would need to be made. After watching the instructional video for inward opening windows, it was not difficult to understand the adjustments for outward. I also agree with others that the white plastic is still more pleasing to the eye than a big piece of wood or cardboard stuck in the window. It seals up nicely so no trouble with letting in bugs, rain or debris. Ive had it installed for about 3 weeks and it has worked very well.

14-04-2025Things I recommend is: - Good scissors - Measuring tape Before buying this product definitely measure you window and pick the size that matches your need. Just convert inches into centimeters. Once you do buy this product the vendor will send you couple videos showing installation and they were helpful. Having measure taping is handy so you can measure the pieces you need to cut and makes the installation easier and less likely to waste extra velcro. Keep in mind this is not perfect insulation and honestly there is no such thing but this window sealer will keep the hot air out and bugs too. After installing I just place my AC exhaust hose and use the reusable twist tie that came with this kit and lock the hose in place. Turn on the AC and my place cools down and keeps the hot air out.

> 3 dayUsing this for a portable air conditioner and an outward opening casement window. I was worried about installation since the window is a bit old and oddly shaped but it worked out. I couldnt lay the adhesive strips where the guide specifies they should go, instead opting for the inner most track of the open window and outer most track of the window frame so that the strips are right next to each other when the window is closed. This created a very nice seal all around except for 3 on the hinge side. I measured correctly but for some reason the 300 cm version was still a bit too short. Luckily, it doesnt really matter as there is only a slight gap when the window is open the small amount it needs to be for the exhaust hose. The adhesive strips seem like they are holding well and the material held up in a windy rainstorm. Overall I am happy with the purchase.

> 3 dayWe have vertical crank windows and I was looking for a solution to block off the area so we could put the portable A/C tube out the window. Also I wanted something that wouldnt block out all the light from the window, and didnt require construction. This velcro set fits the bill. The best part is that its easy to detach when the A/C isnt in use. The velcro gets a little dusty since we have the window open now, but not a huge deal. At some point I may need to remove the velcro and touch up the paint (the adhesive is thick!) but thats a long way down the road. This is an easy solution for those who arent super handy.

Greater than one weekThis is more of a reminder to myself to not buy this again next summer. The adhesive and Velcro work great. The installation is relatively easy, but my window opens out so the zippers ended up being on the outside which was frustrating when I need to close my window due to storms. Oh did I mention that water would leak thru the zipper whenever it rained? Oh and the zip tie/zipper combo thats somehow supposed to keep the hot air and bugs out is just ridiculous. Invest in duct tape. Use more than you think you need. You will need to replace it when it rains. Remember to measure the window next time. Last time the thingy was too short, this time too long. Dont be lazy. Trust me youll just frustrated all over again. Oh and make sure the zippers are double sided like the short brand...that brand didnt leak

> 3 dayI live in NYC, my bedroom is pretty small but has a sliding door out to a lovely balcony which is a gem in the heart of the city. For years, Ive suffered through the hottest days with a ceiling fan because portable ac units have to be vented out. This year, I broke down and bought a portable unit - Im handy and I researched the various ways to vent the hot air out esp since I have shutters so the kit you can buy specifically for patio doors wasnt going to fit flush and all the insulation required to keep it air-tight. Then I can across this product. For the price, I figured it was worth a try. Its easy to install (just make sure you follow instructions and clean the surface you are sticking the velcro on) with no permanent damage ...I wanted my opening on the opposite side so technically it may be on inside out but the zippers are double + on both sides so it works just fine. Is it 100% air-tight? No. - but its close enough that I dont feel the heat coming back in. better yet, I can unzip and use my door w/o obstructions when its not in use. I usually pin the one side open by closing it in the screen or theres enough velcro left over that you could cut a small square and use to keep flaps open when not in use. Once summer is over, I should be able to take down the white part and store for next year. In any case, it perfectly fits my needs!
