Have been using MS Surface Dock 2, however, have noticed possible issue with the 2 display port, so, was looking around for an alternative. Browsed through Amazon, and after clarifying with 4URPC to be sure that it is compatible with Surface Pro, and added to my wishlist. 4URPC later informed me of this new product of theirs. Some of my thoughts: 1. The packaging is simple enough. 2. Fuss-free connecting up the cables. 3. Can work together with the existing Surface Dock 2, so, i ended up having extra 3 USB ports besides the 4 on the Surface Dock 2. 5. Instead of placing the Surface Pro between the handles, i was able to place 2 portable HDDs. 6. The SD card on the Surface at times will get dismounted, now i can use the SD card slot on this device, easily accessible, in my setup. Works great with Surface Pro. [1-May-2023 updates] The support team has been pretty prompt. Unfortunately the set that Ive received seems to have a bit of faulty USB 3 as they get disconnected while copying many files in one go. Just have to be mindful not to do so. Missing in the manual is the use of external power source so that the device would run more smoothly.

nice sturdy design with a spot to place your laptop and keep it out of the way. Helps organize your cord mess pretty well.

Great little dock if you need to reclaim some of your real estate on your work surface. It works great. Ethernet port had excellent transfer rates, USB ports and audio out all worked fine. I already had two external monitors, so giving up the laptop screen was not a big deal. I was concerned there might be a heat issue with the laptop closed, but that was not the case. I have an unusual setup, in that this Dell computer is being used as a true desktop replacement. While I have wireless printer and I am using a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse, I still have a USB scanner, USB label printer, external USB webcam, USB microphone, USB backup drive, etc. Given the small, but very sturdy base, there just is not room for the number of ports I required. That being said, I just attached a simple small USB hub and problem solved. Lastly, for Windows users who use “Windows Hello” for sign in and to verify identity for secure programs, you would have to go back to using a PIN or one of the better webcams with that feature. Off course that applies to all of the stand-up format docks, not just this one. Overall, at this price point, a nice way to cleanup your work surface and only have a single cord to the laptop.

This review is on the 4URPC docking station. I have had this dock for almost a month. I am a fan of docking stations because they just make sense. They provide the ability to use your notebook as a desktop with a minimum amount of effort. By this I mean that you set your notebook down and connect just one cable and you are in business. In my setting I am using a Dell XPS 15 notebook. This is a high powered notebook- i9 processor, lots of memory and a 130-watt power supply. I have the 130-watt power supply connected to the dock which in turn supplies power to the notebook. I only have to plug a single usb-c cable from the dock to the notebook to become functional. I have the following devices connected to the dock: • two monitors connected via HDMI cables. • a wireless keyboard/mouse connected via usb • a webcam connected via usb • an external hard drive via usb • a wired ethernet connection Everything works fine. There is one issue with the dock which I will address. This dock is designed to support a notebook computer vertically to save space on the desk. If someone’s work required them to frequently take their notebook with them when they left their desk then this dock would be a good solution, because you simply unplug one cable and you’re good to go. However, if you leave your notebook at your desk most all the time then you will come across this issue. If you shut down your computer you cannot turn on the computer unless you remove it from the stand, open it up and then press the power button. At that point you return it to the stand and use it normally. This is somewhat of a hassle. I have used a Dell notebook dock which has the same functionality as the 4URPC, but in addition it has a power button on the dock itself. This means if the computer is connected to the dock, you do not need to open it up and press the power button to begin using your computer. This is my suggestion: Add a power button to the dock to be able to power-on the computer. This may or may not be an issue for others. In addition to the Dell, I have tested this dock with an ASUS Chromebook. It worked fine with the Chromebook. If you are considering this dock, just be aware this is designed for commuters that are powered by usb-C. If your computer does not get power by a usb-C cable, then you should look for another dock.

4URPC Laptop Docking Station Stand is perfect to setting my dual monitors, camera, wireless keyboard mouse, and speaker. This has 2HDMI ports, 3 USB Ports, SD card Port, and 3.5mm Audio jack. I have used this for a week now and it has not failed me yet. Great product for the price and highly recommended.

I had some difficulty at first with the docking station, but I found that the technical support was prompt and very helpful...even with follow up to be sure everything worked out. I am very impressed.

This is the 4th 4URPC dock Ive purchased. They have all been fantastic and worked as advertised, and we have not had any issues with them. We purchased this dock to replace one of our different models to free up some desk space for my wife, and it has done exactly that. The dock itself feels very solid. No worries about the laptop falling or tipping over. Setup for 2 external monitors was plug and play and has enough connectivity for everything we need. As mentioned in other reviews, it did not come with a power brick. That was not an issue for me since I was replacing an existing 4URPC dock that did come with one. The only other potential con is once you connect the power and host it leaves 3 available USB ports (no USB-C). This was also not an issue for me, but just be aware if you have a lot of USB peripherals. Overall, I really like this dock. It has the same quality and reliability of my other 4URPC docks for less money. It has also helped me clean up my wifes desk, which she loves!

Seamless plug and play with my Lenovo Carbon X5. Replacing a Lenovo dock that crapped out after 1 year.

I have really enjoyed using this docking station for the last couple months. It is a great value for the money and also has worked really well with the different computers I have tested it with. As expected, it allows me to run two tv / computer monitors from the dock as well as my laptop monitor on my HP laptop, so that is great. 3 working screens with peripherals all attached. All I have to do is plug one small cord into my laptop and it is charging my laptop and hooking / connected to everything else. Ive also used it with my Mac Mini and a couple other computers just to see how it would do and have been impressed with it working very well and as I expected. Great value for the money and really cool look and feel to this docking station. My picture isnt great in my setup since I still had some wires I was routing, but it has been a nice addition to my computer setup. Really like and recommend!
