My retro gaming addiction has been satiated! This is so helpful and easy to use. I cant believe it exists. Boyfriend and I use it often and it hasnt stopped working yet, 3 weeks in.

I bought one at first to see how legit these would be. It feels identical to the original controller, and the Bluetooth works great as well. Being spoiled with other consoles being wireless, it’s nice to have some for the older favorites.

First, about the Dpad. It is awful. Even playing low-demand turn based rpg games becomes fatiguing and painful to use. The dpad doesnt feel right. Its too shallow and have to press firmly for a decent response. The 2.4 GHz aspect of the controller works fine. No issues. However, it does not make up for the D pad issue. Personally I would rather use something with a better D pad with Bluetooth if I have to. As of now I just swapped in Im my PS 1 to snes adapter. And then plugged in an old wireless ps1 logitech receiver /controller with a superior D pad. (For those who dont mind wires- performance ps1 dpad is one of the best and happens to be very cheap used) It does end up costing more, but not having to aggravate about the D pad is worth it plus with the converter you can actually use a real joystick on the SNES for shmups and whatever else you can think of. Their other controllers arent any better. The NES is the worst of the controllers. The Genesis is a bit better but not as comfortable as the original. UPDATE: Tried to figure out the cause of the poor performance. I was able to improve the responsiveness by cleaning up the dpad pcb with a cotton swab and IPA. Its new but why so dirty? Possibly these pcbs have been laying around the warehouse for a while before entering production. Who really knows but now the responsiveness is instant and feels a bit better but still the dpad design needs work because it still is not comfortable. I still prefer the other solution even if it isnt as cheap/elegant.

Works as intended! would actually buy another one! Feels a bit, just a little bit heavier than the original. The buttons are very similar to the originals as well. There isn’t any lag on the buttons or connections either. Time to save the princess now!

I hated the original controller that came with my Retron 5, so having this made things a game changer. Although I prefer the Genesis controller for Genesis games, this isnt a bad substitute.
