This controller has much better d-pad sensitivity than the standard bluetooth one. I dont like how the start and select buttons are lined up the way they are as opposed to diagonally set, but thats mostly aesthetic. The one technical complaint I have about this controller is that it uses a micro-usb for its charging port, rather than the more common USB-C connector (the ones found on modern android phones). I would have given it 5 stars if it had the USB-C instead of the outdated micro-USB.

I had bought an 8Bitdo pad a couple of years ago and was disappointed with the poor transition between where it switched from a cardinal direction to a diagonal as you rotated your thumb around the d-pad. Im not sure if it was bad or just different from an actual SNES d-pad. That was the only problem I had with it; admittedly, that was a big problem. Theyve sorted that out.

to start, ill state what i really liked about it: *excellent responsiveness, if your snes is on, and the dongle is inserted into the controller port, simply press the start button and your controller will instantly connect. *the d-pad and buttons feel amazing. no issues with directional input. *the plastics are quality and the buttons feel just right * the controller can be charged via a PC or a regular phone charger brick with the included USB cable *when connected to a PC, it can be used as a wired controller *the battery is very good and i havent had any issues. now here are some things that i didnt like *Using Micro USB for charging, in a future Revision, it would be awesome if it came with USB-C charging so i can use it with preexisting cables ....yeah mainly only good things to say about this controller because its really close to perfection. here are some improvements that could be implemented in the next version of this controller: *USB-C aka USB TYPE C *possibly a wireless charging coil for chi wireless charging? i recommend this controller even though it doesnt have USB-C charging, mainly because its just solidly built and works exceptionally well.

Ive been using this for the Retron 5 I bought (because the Super NT is sold out and Im skeptical of buying actual an SNES out of fear of being scammed). It works. Plain and simple. I like it. It feels right. I do also have an original SNES controller (I bought it after this), and its the same dimensions and practically the same, albeit some rather minor alterations. Ill admit that I do tend to prefer the feel of the original controller at times simply because that ones been broken in already (duh) and is easier to do Street Fighter II combos on because of it, but the SN30 wireless works great. Its high quality. It almost feels like it was done by Nintendo. Its buttons are the right mixture of clicky and soft/silent. It feels familiar. It...just feels great. Ya know? I dont really know what else to say. Id recommend buy this. I know that every once in a while someone gets a really bad controller, and they wind up rating it 1 or 2 stars because of it, but I can reassure you that this is worth getting and if you get a bad copy, is worth getting a replacement for. The only possible downfall (and I do mean possible because Im still not 100% sure on this, really) is that sometimes there does seem to be SOME amount of delay between button press and game response. But its rather minor. And Im honestly not even sure if that delay is really there at all, and if it is, if its the controller or the Retron 5. It seems really minor, and I only think its there when I play Super Mario World because it sometimes seems like I can press B while running towards an edge and Mario doesnt jump, but that might just be my own timing or misunderstanding of the games physics. Like I said. It works. It works so far, and it doesnt look like itll stop anytime soon. 10/10, would recommend.

These controllers look and feel exactly like an original snes controller. Functionality seems to be spot on as well and there was no noticeable lag between button and screen. Havent had them long enough to review the life of the battery, but it is rechargeable and they say there is a 15 hour battery life in the manual. They are very simple to connect to the snes as well as the wireless pairing. I highly recommend to anyone who is sick of corded controllers!!

My original SNEs gave up the ghost a couple years ago. I bought a FC Twin to play the games on, it worked fine with my original controllers. Then my controllers wore out. I ordered these thinking it would be cool to have wireless ones. Found out the hard way that these controllers are **NOT** FC Twin compatible. Did all the troubleshooting and both controllers did the same thing. They would connect, but the ONLY button that would work was the B button. They might work great on the original, but dont waste your time if you have the FC twin like I do.

My retro gaming addiction has been satiated! This is so helpful and easy to use. I cant believe it exists. Boyfriend and I use it often and it hasnt stopped working yet, 3 weeks in.
