Greater than one weekUpdate: I exchanged the controller I had an issue with for another one here on Amazon and it doesnt have this issue. Very happy overall with the quality of this controller. I upgraded my review to three stars. Not because the product itself, when working correctly, isnt worthy of 4 or 5. But because I think this is an issue that needs attention drawn to it. If I had a bad unit others might also. I want people to be aware and check to make sure the controllers you order are problem free. If I had 100% confidence in quality control itd be a 4 star product. If in addition it had a USB receiver option, itd be a 5 star product. Original Review: The D pad on the SN edition wont respond to up on the d-pad unless you press it with considerably more force than the other directions. The SF edition doesnt have this problem. I tried to remedy it by replacing the rubber membrane with one I had laying around and that didnt work and felt mushier. Will be sending one of these controllers back for replacement. Apart from that, the fit and finish are sublime and the only thing holding it back from perfection is the lack of availability of a USB receiver for PC or MiSTer. Still, for original hardware these would easily replace my standard bluetooth editions (especially since I couldnt use two of those at the same time without them interfering with one another). Im just very disappointed that the D pad doesnt work on one of the controllers. Will update when I receive a replacement.

30-03-2025On the Dpad, I had to press the right considerably harder in order to get it to respond. This seems to be a known issue. Will be returning to get a new one hopefully without this issue. UPDATE - I returned the defective one and the new one I received seems to work for the right side of the Dpad, however this one has a problem with the top left diagonal. Its not nearly as bad as the first one but it is there. I decided to deal with it because if these problems are spanning over 2 different controllers its likely a flaw with the board or the pads they are using etc. I did not see these issues in their BT offerings, however those are junk for latency if you are playing fast action games that require quick response.

> 3 dayAs stated in title. Very low latency, and diagonals are fixed in comparison to their older model SN30/SN30 Pro controllers. This is the one to get for SNES, especially if you dont feel like fixing your old Nintendo d-pad.

> 3 dayThe controller is well built and feels great. The avg input latency has been measured at 11ms in wireless mode, which is pretty standard for wireless controllers. I was hoping the input lag would be closer to the M30 2.4g (db9 genesis dongle version), which was measured with an avg of 4.5ms. Hopefully the input latency can be improved with a firmware update down the line.

> 3 dayLooks and performs just like a original SNES controller. Finally something that isn’t flat out junk!

Greater than one weekLove it. Just got an SD2SNES and wanted a wireless controller as well. It feels original but works far better than any wireless controller I owned before the GameCube came around. If you are looking for a wireless controller for the SNES, this is the one you want.

> 3 dayIt works perfectly. I like it even more than the original Snes controller. I recommend this product. Funciona a la perfección. Me gusta incluso más que el control original de Snes. Recomiendo este producto.

> 3 dayGreat feeling: size, button placement and overall feel is almost like an SNES OEM controller. D-Pad feels a little stiffer, however, but nothing that will bother you. Ive tried it with an original, unmodified SNES and an Analogues Super NT with great results. Irecommend it.

> 3 dayI bought this item for use on a NTSC-U Super Nintendo and Nintendo Switch. I thought that this would work for that because it comes with a connector for the SNES and the From the manufacturer section said it was compatible with the Switch. (Hell, even the 8bitdo site says its compatible. When I received it I first tried to connect it to the Switch. But when I tried to use it on the Switch the controller couldnt be found. I figured it needed an update. I found the update for this exact model on the 8bitdo site, followed the exact instructions of the readme file (which on step 3 tells you to put it in upgrade mode), and updated the controller. Unfortunately, after the update the controller was still in upgrade mode. The manual didnt say how to take it out of this mode and nothing about it could be found on the 8bitdo site or any forums. Turns out there is no way to manually take it out of upgrade mode. The only way is to perform an update and have it be successful. If, for some reason, the controller does not have a successful update it cannot be taken out of this mode and thus cannot be used on any console. Straight out of the box I have had issues with this product with zero time where it has worked as desired. I have been communicating with 8bitdo to see how I can possibly get this taken care of. This issue is currently ongoing (as it has been for two days) but I have been notified by 8bitdo that this controller does not work with the Switch at all. The From the manufacturer section for this product is incorrect. Personal gripe: 8bitdo has different names for different products (ex. SN30, SN30 Pro, SN30 Pro+, etc.). But there are three different models of the basic SN30. Some are currently supported. Some are not. But there isnt a really good way to tell which model you have. Theyre all called SN30. Theyre told apart by their functions which isnt the easiest way to identify them. Why the hell cant 8bitdo call each generation of a model by a very clear number on both the product and the website? (ex. SN30 1, SN30 2, etc.) I have noticed from my other 8bitdo products that the newer, more complex devices are pretty great, but the older, simpler ones can sometimes be a real pain because of issues like this. Personally with the problems I have experienced, I would AVOID this controller. Get a newer model SN30 Pro (with Bluetooth) and newer model SNES adapter (with Bluetooth). Thats a bit more expensive but youll be MUCH better off.
