These worked perfectly in my rack. They threaded in smoothly and did not bind. They also have small built-in plastic washers/bushings which prevent your equipment from being scratched or marked when you tighten down the screws.

Ive bought rack screws from other dealers and had the strip out using a hand held screw driver. Not these, the are made from a strong metal.

I never thought that I could be so pleased by something as simple as a screw. Having worked with rack equipment for years I had just accepted that adding and removing things from a rack is an inherently frustrating experience -- pretty much every rack screw I had ever used would often strip out after being used more than a couple of times, or have threads not quite machined properly, or other issues. But no more. These screws just do what theyre supposed to -- they go in smooth, they come out smooth. They dont strip or bend, they just do what screws ought. Maybe that means everyone elses screws are just garbage, but Im just happy to finally find these. Have my 5 stars.

It seems silly to give an I love it! rating to a pack of rack screws, but these ones just get so many little things right. - The packaging is stellar. So much better than tear-open plastic baggies. If the number one problem with rack screws is losing them, this solves it. - It comes with the perfect, exactly-right washers. Rubber-backed, so no rack-rash on your gear! - The screws themselves are exactly right. The narrow feeder tip makes it easy to thread the first screw, even if the rack-piece is poorly-supported. The screws are just long enough and thread cleanly. Rack screws are annoying necessity, at best. These ones are so thoughtful about ways to reduce the annoyingness, that it makes them a pleasure to work with. Somebody out there cares about the thankless task of racking gear.

Ive tried so many different brands of rack screws over the years... even rack screws that come with expensive rack cases. And they are always horrible. They are always soft metal that begins to strip after even just a little bit of extra torque. But these rack screws are so much better than anything else I have ever used. It makes me as, what the hell were all these other companies doing?
