Besides the 8000 updates, it’s nice

Acer is known for their value: Good products at good prices. I only use good because I have had two other cheap Acer laptops in the past, and they were serviceable. I dont regret buying them because they were cheap, but as soon as I could afford a better laptop, I immediately sold the Acer for cheap (or cheaper). And this is another example. The bottom line for me is: This is something I would get for trips where I dont NEED to bring my laptop, and just want to bring one along in case I need to browse some websites for their full versions (and not the phone or tablet versions). Its great for when you need to check your emails, research some hotel, travel, restaurant, and tourism websites, etc. My main laptop is a $1500 HP Spectre x360, and I dont mind bringing it along on trips. However, there are some trips where I might be outdoors/hiking/trekking, and dont want to risk damaging or losing something expensive, so this makes a great secondary laptop.

Im so bitter that this laptop with such small drive space DO NOT have SSD drive Bay or connection...I upgraded my Acer E15 and was so happy with it that I bought a Acer5 SLIM for my daughter only to realize despite what FAQs said it DOESNT have the drive Bay Nor connection point to upgrade with 2.5 SSD. otherwise its a great laptop dont expect much storage.

Works fast .. bought a 4gb extra ram though...screen is alright , a bit washed out . Fingerprint and touchpad is flawless ..battery is good but not so much in performance mode, adapter get kinda hot

What a cool laptop. Got it today and I set up in about 30 minutes. Very nice. Well done, Acer. I hope it lasts, this is my second Acer. My first notebook lasted years. (10years) This one is really nice. I wanted the Chrome one, but decided on this one and I made the right choice. Yay, me.

I maxed out the ram and then installed a second SSD and the thing is zippy and runs lots of games at very stable fps.

Just received my prime day special. It is an attractive looking package but the fan runs a lot of the time and sounds like a jet engine. Im used to my old Aspire E 15 which was quiet as a mouse. I really wanted to upgrade to quad core as well as get turbo speed out of the processor but the AMD software doesnt work on laptops apparently. So Im stuck looking around for a way to speed the processor up from its average 1.7ghz speed. If my grandson hadnt broken the bezel on the old laptop I would have kept it as it was working perfectly. At least he his getting a great laptop.

Nice for the price, just a basic laptop

My lid / hinge connection broke after a few months. The hinge is abnormally stiff putting a lot of pressure on the lid.
