Works as it should! Really is a handy tool when troubleshooting, it has a pigtail that can provide a ground. Super handy for testing relays and solenoids.

Instructions have a little to be desired but Ive used the tool on two jobs and it works as advertised. Very happy with it for the price

Very nice tester. The ability to apply power and/or ground to whatever you are testing is great. That feature makes quick work out of testing relays, bulbs, motors. Especially useful when testing power windows. It is a little bigger than its competition, the power probe, but significantly cheaper. I recommend having two of these. That makes some diagnosis even quicker. I am pulling one star because the power/ground cable does not have a strain relief and will bend quite a bit where it enters the tester. Over time that will cause cable breakage. By the way, the touch metal is for turning on the tip illumination. Touch the short ground lead to it and the illumination comes on. Another handy feature.

This thing is not good

My children bought me a Power Probe as a gift a while back and it was amazing. I wanted a less expensive tool like it I could take for mobile repair work. This has done everything I’ve needed. Like Power Probe, it has an auxiliary ground and has a momentary switch to supply power. Very handy. It paid for itself with the first use.

As a weekend DIYer, a tool where I can provide power and ground to diagnose electrical issues would be nice to have. I’ve searched and came across this tool from Allsun, the reviews I saw gave me the confidence to try it myself. The tool did its job and the money I would have spent to have a shop diagnose it, easily pays for itself. I’m glad there is a product in this price range for us DIYer and even entry technician that is on a budget. Looking forward to other products Allsun has to offer.

There are a lot of different version of this type of tester out there. For the money I feel this one was a pretty good deal. It always handy to have one of these for testing and troubleshooting. I find myself using it quite a bit for finding opens, power issues and shorts. I would have like a little more length on the aux ground lead. Other than that Im pleased with the unit.
