AMD Ryzen 5 2600 Processor with Wraith Stealth Cooler - YD2600BBAFBOX

AMD really nailed it with this CPU. It lands in that sweet spot of performance and price and offers a lot of power for the money. I included this CPU in my recent gaming / multipurpose build and love it. I chose this CPU as I wanted something that will last a while and not become obsolete in a few years while chewing through everything I throw at it. I have this paired with an RX580 GPU and 16gb or ddr4 3000mhz ram. Intels I5 8400 is probably its closest competition but the Ryzen 5 2600 clearly beats it in my opinion with the multitasking potential of this CPU. The stock cooler will get the job done but if you want to overclock it (I have no need at the time to do that) Id invest in a better cooler or get the 2600x version

Great cpu for gaming or office desktop.

The cpu is great, but the thermal compound on the cooler is pretty much glue. I ended up pulling out my cpu out of the socket when upgrading the slightly noisy cooler. Please save yourself the trouble and use aftermarket thermal compound at first install.

This particular Ryzen processor does not have the onboard video (coprocessor?) that would work with a motherboards onboard graphics. I bought it for a build and then got tied up until way after the return window. My bad. My mistake wasnt all bad, I got to buy a good video card to go with it. The processor works good with Win10, so no complaints. Do your research before you buy.

Gets the job done for gaming and never gets to hot at all.

This thing is 3 times faster than my 4 year old quad core i5!
