AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12-core, 24-Thread Unlocked Desktop Processor

Cumple perfectamente, venía de un ryzen 7 2700x y la diferencia es brutal. Procesador sobrado para muchos años. Montado en una placa x470 de aorus, no es necesario comprar otra placa si ya tenias un socket am4. Contento.

I used this product for gaming. While there are stronger processors out there, this one does the job for the value. Great product overall and I will be using this for a while.

Maxing out at 74c while hitting speeds of nearly 5GHz (4.951) without OC while playing RDR2 and many other intensive games. Pretty awesome CPU

Im a bit late to the party for Ryzen 5000 Series, but the 5900x is still definitely worth it if youre an editor and play games on the side, the core/thread count is really great value and I havent had any major complaints about it getting hung up on a process or lagging at all - Thats a great thing considering my prior 3600x had a lot of issues multitasking

Steal price for a processor high end CPU. If you plan to game this is high end as much as you can go before the threadripper. A 7 or 5 is good enough but if you are streaming/video editing great pic compile times are great and clcok speeds are nice. Just know that you need to have great VRMs on your motherboard, so id recommend a B550 or an X570 motherboard for this CPU to ensure it isnt overheating. I have it run at 60c avg with air cooling so if you need to look just try to prepare yourself for cooling. Also since this is 5th gen check the motherboard you have for what Bios version it supports up to.

It may be true that most home users will not use all the cores most of the time. Still, the 5900 offers massive performance for just a little more money than the 5800, which compromises in certain areas like memory write speed. Considering the cost difference as a percentage of overall system cost, I feel if youre spending all that money building a new system, its penny wise, pound foolish to skimp on the cpu. Im extremely happy with this chip and would easily buy it again if I were building another system.

The CPU turned out to be defective. It caused intermittent blue screen crashes. It took the techs at Best Buy 6 weeks to diagnose due to the intermittent failures. Eventually they replaced the CPU and the problem was solved.

Great CPU. But it is hot. I plan to use this for my own personal desktop + lab. I paired it with Scythe Fuma 2 cooler. Many testings are yet to be done. So far, I am happy with it.

Way less stuttering, higher 1% and average fps. Good for price now. Tarkov runs a lot better but still not perfect, maybe I should have went with the 5800x3d. Only time will tell but overall very satisfied with this cpu and 2070s combo
