The glass is really clear (not cloudy like some other brands) and its great that the level line is marked off (makes measuring the amount for water tests super foolproof). I also bought some cheap plastic pipettes so that I disturb the tanks as little as possible, but more so because its really easy to fill up these tubes to the line with the precision of a pipette. The caps fit snugly and Im never worried about any leakage while shaking up the chemicals with the water during testing. To clean, I just run it through some warm water after Im finished with the testing and the tubes are as good as new again. Great product and I love testing my aquariums water quality with this more precise method.

Its nice to have extra test tubes on hand when testing my tank parameters. These come in handy when I accidentally drop one. Whatever you do, dont soak them in vinegar to clean as it takes the white marker line off, so you wont have the 5ml line as a guide.

I broke a few tubes in my API test kit and was very relieved you could buy replacements. These seem to be more solid than the ones that came with the kit, or maybe I’m just more careful now. You get a whole lot of tubes in this box so I don’t think I’ll need to buy any more for awhile. Very convenient, good purchase!

I use these in my college-level science lab - because they have a flat bottom, you dont need test tube racks! They are small. If you need large tubes, these wont work. We use them for water analysis, and they are great.

I have augmented my normal water tests to 8 tests, and have multiple tanks, neccessitating the use of about two dozen test tubes. The 5mL graduation line is accurate for the tests that API supplies, but their caps do often leak so I went ahead and bought some normal rubber plugs and they work wonderfully. These are the same quality as the original API Water Test Kit for my aquariums so watch out as they will break in the same way as you broke your original ones which is why you will be looking at buying this to have extra ones on hand!
