Astra Superior Platinum Double Edge Shaving Razor Blades 100 Pcs Barber Favored by Astra

*Beware of other listings that appear to have possible counterfeit blades. These are legit as of now* Ive been using Wilkinson Swords for years since I started using double edge like ten years ago. I had tried these and the WSs in a sample pack. I dont really remember how I felt about these specific ones other than maybe they are less forgiving/more aggressive and I was new. The WSs have been great for a long time, but my dollar shave blades that I use for travel have been giving me a better shave than my safety razor. That aint right. After that frustration, I managed to find my old collection of sample blades and tried these first. Wow. What a difference. These Astra blades cut through days old stubble, no problem. They are very sharp. And now that I know what Im doing, their willingness to cut effectively actually seems to have drastically reduced nicking. I will say though, if you have any pimples or anything, be careful with these. My Swords would just go over that stuff. These Astras... Dont. Like I said, they are sharp. I used my old new Astra blade over the last week and loved it. I then let my stubble grow a few days before trying this new pack. Im pleased to say, they are still great. So if you are brand new, Id say give the Wilkinson Swords a shot as they are a lot easier to learn with and they do a decent job if youre actually shaving each day. But after you get some experience, Astra is a great move. Especially if you, like me, tend to let it go a few days in between.

Good quality razor blades. Shave my head daily and they dont irritate and shave easily.

These are premium blades at a low price. With my beard,a Gillette cartridge lasts one week.Each of these blades also lasts a week with a better overall shave. 11 cents vs. 3 bucks. Gillette didnt abandon the double edge razor because of improved technology.It all came down to a more profitable technology.Dont play that game.

You don’t have to spend a ton of money. Just make sure this blade is seated properly and you won’t cut yourself.

These blades are amazing for the price. Nothing has beaten them for me so far. Sharp, and stays sharp for about 3-4 shaves. The perfect razor blade

I have used much more expensive blades that didn’t work as well. Holds an edge for 3-4 shaves (full face and head) and isn’t too aggressive. Blades are a pretty subjective rating...but these work fine for me.

I bought this 100 pack in early 2020 & again in 2021. Quality is consistent, & the blades have the embossed logo & are not blank, as with some other listings. I use a shavette on my own face, as well as for barbering others. I also use a Zazor DE razor (not unlike a Razorine, but cheaper & better.) For years I used Wilkinson Sword razors bc they were ubiquitous & got the job done well. Astra Superior Platinum are just a bit less smooth & a bit sharper in comparison. I have thick, curly 3C hair, & this slices right through. Its also a breeze for use on others. Not quite as sharp or unforgiving as Feather blades & thats why theyre my favorite. My one little quibble is the waxy sealant on the envelope. I really wish it didnt have that as it builds up on my razors, but a little warm soapy water takes care of it well enough.

Have used these for a couple of years. Astra are middle of range in sharpness and durability. I get far fewer nicks with these than others blades. All skin textures are different but these work for me.
