> 3 dayI used to think this was a decent bargain laptop. I have drastically changed that opinion. This laptop is terrible. The screen is laughably dark and has no good viewing angles. The trackpad is super buggy and will glitch out for no reason for about 30 seconds to a minute. The internal speakers are nearly nonexistent - you HAVE to be connected to another speaker to hear anything. It will not handle even light gaming. The battery lasts for maybe 3 hours. Under no circumstances would I recommend this laptop. Spend an extra $100-$200 to save yourself so much headache. I wish I did.

> 3 dayThe first thing I did, and most people should do, was exit windows 10 S mode. Haven’t had any issues with it. Everything feels well made about it. The screen isn’t as nice as a MacBook but you’re paying a fraction of the price. If you can live with that then it’s a good buy.

> 3 dayIve had this laptop for over a year now and it has been a beast for how minimal its hardware is. Ive used for multiple live show productions to run live broadcasting and live vj programs. So far it has never let me down.

14-04-2025I’ve used mine for a couple months now. I can’t say I’m disappointed because I knew very well what I was getting. It’s a average laptop in all regards. I’m a MacBook Pro user but wanted something to run some programs for work as a locksmith. It does what it’s supposed to. I disabled S Mode and installed Firefox. Deleted all the bloatware. Lots of “tiles” in the menu that drag this laptop down. It’s much snappier in every way. It does feel a bit flimsy, compared to a aluminum bodied LT but it’s not a concern. I’m not roughing either of them up.

> 3 dayThis purchase has not been impressive at all, it was a pain in the behind to set up and get going. Im pretty sure it was a dysfunctional unit that they sent me, it was sent in windows S mode and no way to upgrade to windows home without app store, and the app store simply would not load at all. I updated all the drivers and got all the windows updates, the store still wouldnt work so I couldnt install a thing on it that was not from the app store.

Greater than one weekI am not a gamer at all, so I have no idea how it is as a gaming machine. However, I will tell you the speakers are not audible, so I suspect it will hamper any joy if youre a gamer. I had to replace my Sony Vaio laptop just 14 months after purchasing and right out of warranty the motherboard gave out. I will never again pay top dollar for a computer. This computer is perfectly suitable for online teaching, what I do, and its very easy to set up. I was concerned about moving from I7 to I3, but its just as fast as my I7, 16 GB of Ram. This is a very nice machine and is worth the money! The other advantage is that ASUS has a chat function and the reps are very responsive.
