Good luck trying to uninstall the McAfee bloatware and nonstop popups pre installed on the computer.

I wanted a nice tablet to go into retirement. This one works well for me.

It is not a gaming laptop, that is very crucial to understand. However, you can game if you are not super picky. I play Overwatch and its doable, but low 30s to 40 average fps (better SSD might help, maybe), after I upgraded the Ram to 20 (16gb stick)- if you really need to game, I suggest using stadia, then you wont really have many complaints with gaming, thats the best experience you will get out of this.. Colors will not be vibrant with this screen but does well with glare. It has a great CPU for work loads, coding, programming, most browsing. Keyboard is very decent cant complain, love that it is backlit. It has the Num Pad, cant go wrong with that. I plan to upgrade the SSD, I feel saving up for a really good SSD with maybe 1Tb that has great speeds, along with upgraded ram can really boost the performance (from what it comes with). The bios is basically locked so dont plan to make any changes there. I do now duel boot with linux and linux is always better. but depending on the distro, you will lose some I/O functionality. might have to do some digging for the drivers. Cant go wrong getting a decent Fan-stand for this, depending your task it can help with the temps.

Very disappointed!! We ordered this computer and after it came we realized that one of the USB ports did not work. Returned it and got a replacement. That one also has technical issues! We are still hoping that Asus will help us deal with the issues but if we have to return a second one we will not be happy.

I had to replace my old HP Laptop and this ASUS Vivo Book sounded good. So I bought it. I have never been more disappointed in a Laptop. The Battery is dead after 4 hours! Yesterday I was in the middle of a Webinar and it died. Im going to see if I can return it.

So far I love it. Great lower price laptop. Processor is fast. Screen brightness is good. Boots quickly thanks to its SSD Drive. It has a BACKLIT KEYBOARD which was the reason I chose it over other Ryzen 5s with the same specs. One thing: could use a bigger SSD but so do most ryzen 5 3500U laptops. Also, it has space for adding another 2.5 inch drive. I havent tried it for gaming. Its supposed to be good for some low specs gaming. Check videos in Youtube.

Bought this laptop when it was on sale back in April. It had a pretty good quality screen, was lightweight and worked fast for a sub $500 laptop. Everything was fine for about three weeks, but then it started booting into BIOS screen every time Id turn the power on. It would require me to restart the system multiple times before it would boot back into Windows. Ive contacted Asus team, and they recommended I send it to them to get the drive replaced. Shipping would be slow due to Covid19, so I asked if I would be able to simply replace the drive with my own SSD, to which they replied yes, but I would also have to buy a restore flash drive from Asus so Id be able to use Windows again, which was another $40 or so. While trying to decide what to do next, the laptop randomly stopped charging. It would require me plugging and unplugging it several dozen times until it would start charging again. At this point I packed the system up in its box, and returned it to Amazon.

Intel is not everything. AMD is also a great processor plus it is cheaper. This laptop is great for school and light gaming.
