This thing does not work. I honestly get so sick of ordering small electronics from Amazon that are dead on arrival. I would pay more for something of quality. Time is most valuable thing and crap like this wastes it.

This worked amazingly and I love playing my old n64 on new tvs with hdmi. The quality seems to maybe not be quite as good, but it’s close and maybe it’s just my memory. I’ve also read before that crts actually make the old systems appear better to the eye because they lack detail and sharpness that becomes more apparent with our newest technology. Not sure, but still happy.

Its getting rare to find a TV with anything other than HDMI inputs now, and when my last old school TV died and was replaced- oh no! My vintage console doesnt output HDMI and the TV and my relatively new home theater receiver dont support analog/composite. This device cured that problem. Theres two aspect ratios selectable and be warned- it will potentially cause your TV to switch inputs when the console boots or restarts, as no video signal from the console makes the TV think its off and many TVs switch inputs when that happens. The quality of the pic is good, and my receiver upscales it ok. So far, its been working well.

I cant plug my n64 into my Vizio TV since it is an unsupported resolution (I guess old resolutions just dont work on new TVs). With this, the tv sees it as 1080p and lets me play n64 on my TV. The latency seems pretty decent too, It is really unnoticeable when youre playing most games, except maybe smash, but still if youre just casually playing, This is perfect.

Bought this to use on a new TV that doesnt have RCA inputs. Super easy to install and worked fine. However, the picture was noticeably lower quality than with the RCA inputs. Im not sure if this particular adapter is just cheap, or if converting the signal to HDMI unavoidably leads to a loss in quality. I also think there was a slight lag with the controls when playing 007 Goldeneye, so that was a bit annoying too.

Gives me a giant blank blue screen.
