BabyBjörn Bouncer Balance Soft, Cotton, Khaki/Beige

I borrowed a baby bjorn babysitter balance when I had my first child 4 year ago. I liked it, but I has to give it back when we were done with it. With my 2nd child, I bought a cheap bouncer that I thought would do just as a good a job. Nope! I just bought the bjorn balance and now Im happy. The legs on the cheap bouncers stick out- everyone who came near that bouncer tripped. It didnt adjust up or down and you couldnt fold it easily for travel. The bjorn really is bouncy, so even though theres no battery powered vibration on it, my baby loves being it. She loves kicking to make it move. Highly recommend. Also, if you are looking at the balance and babysitter. They are about the same overall. The babysitter has a reversible seat so if you get tired of brown/khaki (or your baby spit up on that side and you were too lazy to get up and wash it), you could flip it over to the all brown side for a new, clean look. :) the restraint unbuckled completely. If you flip the balance cover over, its just the seat without any restraint system so they call it a child seat.

Love this bouncer. We have used it sense day one and for photo shoots; we just put a blanket over it... I wanted a bouncer that didnt have a plastic thing on the bottom that would potentially hurt my baby and I got it! Ive been using it now for 4 months and he still loves it. We still bounce him so I have gotten very good at multitasking but he has started bouncing himself recently as well. Im able to do homework with him right next to me, cook, clean, and eat dinner with him right there. Our little guy likes to be near us and watch what were doing so this is great! He also has really bad gas problems and has trouble laying on his back at night so we put him in this. Ive noticed that he doesnt writhe in pain sitting up as well. It does get dirty so we easily slip the cover off the metal frame and pop it in the washer, super easy! Also can easily move around the apartment. Love that its transportable also. It just folds down and doesnt take up a ton of space in the car.my husband and I are poor college students so Ive waited awhile to review on this product because I was so bitter about the price but Ive used it so much it certainly makes up for it! Great buy!

This is an absolutely a life saver! Our son loves sitting in the chair to play (with the Babybjorn toy bar), laugh, eat, and rest. The mesh material makes the air flow and very easy to clean. I originally got a black cotton one but it heats up him quickly, plus it looks like a giant sock sitting in the house so I exchanged for a mesh one with a lighter color. It was a very very wise choice because turns out that our son really loves to produce huge dirty diapers whenever he is sitting in his bouncer!! For the most of the times, the diaper would leak to the side or over his back, I think it has to do with the design (tried 3 different diaper brands and all leak, only in his bouncer). We just cant figure out why he loves so much to pop in the bouncer, hehe. Anyway, the mesh material is really EASY to clean and dries up quickly. If it is the black cotton one, I am not sure if I can spot all the stains immediately and our house would definitely smell funny with a source that I probably will never identify. So do yourself a favor and get a lighter color bouncer with the mesh material! You can always put down a blanket if the weather gets cold. This bouncer is one of the best baby gears I purchased and frees up a lot of time for us to play with him, eat along with him, and to just enjoy just sitting next to him!! The only thing that I regard is I didnt get it sooner! You should try this from day 1!

My mom got this for us when baby was about 3 weeks old because we needed something light weight that was easy to move around our house for baby to sit in. It quickly became his favorite baby item. He loves the natural bounce feature way more than his swing or vibrating chair. What I Love about it, is that it folds flat and is highly portable. Also, even when baby exceeds the recommended weights for each position in the chair/bouncer (20lbs bouncer/29lbs chair) the instructions indicate that the product is still safe to use, just that the bouncing feature doesn’t work as well, so it’s a really great value if you have a larger baby like we do. The pics are at 1 month, 2 months and 3 months so you can really see how well it fits even at multiple sizes. I wish we had this piece of baby gear from day 1. I highly recommend it. Get it for yourself or as a gift for someone who is expecting. The prices on amazon are the best I’ve seen.

I previously gave this a 5 star review, but need to change it because the fabric part on the bouncer I originally received was uneven. I didn’t think it was a big deal, but my pediatrician pointed out that my baby’s head was becoming flat on one side. He asked if she tended to tilt her head to one direction... and then it clicked for me that she does that in this bouncer. I requested to return this one right away and they have sent me a proper replacement that doesn’t have this problem. I also ordered a bobby flat head pillow for it, but I’m still nervous to leave her in the bouncer for too long. It’s very unfortunate because she does love the bouncer and especially now that we have that expensive toy for it too. Ugh. Old review: Something about this is magic. I always thought babies wanted to be held all of the time, but sometimes my baby wants out of my arms just to go into this thing and chillax! I don’t get it, but it is every bit as wonderful as the reviews say. I’m so glad I have a nice, comfy place to rest our baby while I work on the computer. Makes me want to buy the overpriced $50 toy too.

This bouncer is a life saver. My little girl loves hanging out in it, napping and as of recently kicking her feet. Its really easy for an adult to make it bounce until shes able to bounce in it by herself. Just slightly tap at the bottom with your foot. Right now, shes 2.5 months old and weve been using it for a while at the lowest setting. I used an insert to help her head stay straight (for naps mostly) but its really not necessary. Sometimes I tuck in a blanket under her arms. I know its a little pricey compared to other bouncers out there but I think its worth every penny. The cover is very easy to take off the metal bars to wash -- we had one major diaper blowout while she was in it but it all came off without staining. Just make sure to hang to dry, dont put it in the dryer. The only reason Im giving it four stars is the black / grey color. I wanted a more neutral color to fit with our living room furniture but the material actually attracts a lot of dust and dog hair. I just use a lint brush to clean it every other day. I also hope the black doesnt fade over time. A sand / stone color would have been more practical for us.

Highly recommend this chair. Baby loves to bounce in it, play with the clip-on toys, or just sit and look out the window for a few minutes. It’s great to have a few minutes at a time with the baby playing independently. My baby isn’t a good napper yet, so this chair gives me a little time to do things around the house while keeping an eye on him. I can easily move it from room to room with one hand while holding him in the other arm. Get one or two extra covers. Without fail, baby has a blow-out in it daily. Sometimes 3x a day. Amazing, because his cumulative time in it is maybe 90 minutes, max. I’ve tried covering the seat with cloths, but it gets dirty without fail. Before 3 months it was time to change him to the second position and now it’s like the chair is actually purpose-built to make the baby have a blow-out. Every morning he poos on the first cover within 10 minutes of being set down in it— it’s just part of my routine to change the cover. When we used to only have one cover and it’d be line-drying in the mornings, we didn’t have blow outs elsewhere. It really is a magic chair. I recommend this chair to all parents. If your baby has trouble pooping, doubly so.

This is by far one of our families most favorite baby product purchases. All babies are obviously very different, so our experience with this product may not be the same as someones experience looking to purchase this item. That being said, my 11 week old grandson loves this bouncer. He is content sitting in it for reasonable amounts of time. He actually looks forward to his bouncer time each day. Mom and Dad never use the bouncer as a baby sitter; they always have some level of engagement with the baby while he uses it, so maybe thats one reason he loves hanging out in it. The three different angle settings are great depending on babys mood. The most upright angle is great when the baby is active and alert. The middle angle is perfect for when baby just wants to relax but not sleep. The lowest angle is nice for baby when he wants to sleep. We havent actually used the sleep angle yet, so not sure how well baby will sleep in it. I imagine our baby would sleep just fine in it if we wanted to utilize it for napping purposes. Before we knew how much baby would love this bouncer, we chose it based on four points: • it is not battery operated and promotes baby to move in order to bounce • it is super easy to clean; just pop it in the washer and line dry (Im sure you could machine dry it on low) • it is made with quality material free of harmful dyes and chemicals • it can be used as a chair/lounger when baby gets older All in all, I am very pleased with the bouncer and I look forward to using for years to come.

Guys. I know what youre thinking - this product is really expensive, cant we just skip it? Please ask yourselves the following questions: Do you like showers? Do you like to use the bathroom? Do you need to make food to survive? If you answered yes to any of these questions, dont skip it. My baby practically lived in this thing and the RockNPlay for the first couple of months. I didnt get any of the swings/Mamaroos, etc. because our apartment is pretty small and those things take up so. much. space - this folds right up so you can store it away when not in use and, when we took weekend trips to visit grandma and grandpa (in the car), it was super easy to bring with us. Now, theres a model out there that has a toy bar. At one point I thought, it would be great to have a toy bar... but then I just pulled it up to our activity gym and - tada - toy bar. But mostly my guy was perfectly happy just checking out his hands or interacting with me. Also - when they finally learn they can bounce in it, its really cool to watch their little faces. I wonder if thats what my face looks like when I walk through the double doors at Starbucks...
