Due to less time in the sun without sunscreen, we dont absorb as much Vitamin D as we need anymore. This is a great product. My Vitamin D level is always borderline, just barely at the normal level and occasionally falls below. I only take this every 3 days, and there is also Vitamin D in my calcium tablets. My D level is now hovering above normal (but not extremely high, which would be bad) and my doctor is a lot happier with my lab results. This seems to absorb better than the little gelcaps that are sold everywhere.

I had very low Vitamin D levels and for over six months my doctor had me on 50,000 unit pills, taking one a week and it did nothing. So I stopped taking those and started just one a day of these (on my own) and it went up to where it should be! I continue these and have had no problems again in years.
