I have used these for years and years. I would not have a boat trailer without them. This set went on a wood splitter, somehow it got water in the bearings. Made in the U.S. parts were just over $100.00, to replace the bearings and seals. The Bearing Buddies would have prevented that cost, and the time to replace them. Thankfully I caught them before a brake down.

One assembly was not assembled at all. The other assembly had the snap ring assembled but bent. I had to disassemble it straighten the snap ring and reassemble it.

Works great. Takes a litle more grease than I expected. Great product

Easy installation

I put these on my boat trailer. The original factory parts were showing signs of wear and leakage. These were an easy bet and gave me the confidence I needed that I wouldn’t run into trouble in the future.

Then you put the plastic covers on and nobody knows their stainless but you. Good price on genuine product. We will have to wait see how they hold up from salt water to see if it was worth the extra money for stainless. I have a 2000 trailer and the original non stainless bearing buddies (not sure of the brand) had heavy rust yet they were still working. I just replaced them as I was doing some other trailer maintenance.

They look great. Haven’t installed at this time as I’m replacing all 6 sets of bearings, races and grease seals.

I installed Bearing Buddy on a very old boat trailer that I was taking on a fairly long trip. I was afraid the bearings might run a bit hot as they had gotten quite warm on a much shorter trip even with an ample amount of grease. The bearing buddy really helped as I was able to drive 70 miles a hour on the freeway and the heat generated was very minimal, hardly noticeable. Another thing I liked was when launching the boat I did not worry that dirty water would get to the bearings. Just the peace of mind this gave me was worth every penny of the cost. They were also easy to install, I recommend them highly
