Greater than one weekWell made and packaged. Bought based on the reviews and was not disappointed. Quite a decent size and when assembled can be used even as decoration in the frame - the colors are nice and vibrant and the cutout pieces are well made. I gave as gift and don’t know yet on the kid’s reactions, but for a developing 2-3 year old this could be very enjoyable. No batteries and no buttons, noises and screens, just colors and shapes and still could be a lot of fun.

> 3 dayPersonally, I hate this puzzle. Like most large puzzles, my 3yo loves dumping it out but not putting it back together. After putting this back together myself once or twice I almost threw it away. It is hard even for an adult. It is painted on both sides of each piece, one side with capital letters and the other side with lower case. Thats great except the pieces arent symmetrical, so if you want to put it together on the lower-case side its a mirror image so it would go from right to left instead of left to right, the z picture would come first and the a picture would come last. My child hardly knows the difference between capital and lower case yet. Another reason its frustrating is that there is a bunch of empty space at the top, and the pieces dont fit together, they just stack on top of each other and squeeze together inside a frame. It was nearly impossible to remember how all the little pieces fit together after the dog for D. I quickly decided that I was not going to keep this puzzle if I didnt do something to help. I highly recommend this - get a pencil and outline each piece one at a time inside the wooden frame. This ruins the ability to do the puzzle upside-down on the lower-case side but we wouldnt use it that way anyway. My kids like using this puzzle more as wooden figures for play. They stand them up alongside their wooden train track. For that purpose this is a beautifully painted wooden toy set.

> 3 dayI would love to give this toy 5 stars because it is a cute idea and a cute presentation, BUT when I received it, the aligators tail was broken off. Please make sure you check all pieces prior to gifting or using this toy. The toy came very poorly packed ( no inside packing to stop it from taking a beating during the delivery process.)

Greater than one weekMy 3 year old LOVES this puzzle and has found so many ways to play with it: as a puzzle, practicing the alphabet, counting, making animal sounds, motor skills, and working on putting together phrases (he has a speech delay). I love that its made of wood in a sustainable way and isnt just more plastic, flashing, noisy junk! LOL. Cant recommend this highly enough.

Bookish One
Greater than one weekI purchased 2 of these for young nephews, one aged 18 months, the other nearly 3. They both enjoy it immensely, but of course play differently. The little one is mainly interested in playing with the separate pieces as animals, not interested in putting them together as a puzzle. The 3 year old also loves it and is beginning to recognize letters and is making an effort to put the pieces together. A toy that can keep a childs interest as they grow is always a good value and a good gift.
