I should have looked at the image more closely because I have several problems with the images on the puzzle: 1) All of the people represented (although two of them are genderless astronaut cartoons, they are named on the back) are men -- no women at all are shown; 2) telescopes do not stick out of their domes -- the whole point of a dome is to protect the telescope; 3) There cannot be a star in front of the disk of the Moon, even when its seen as crescent, because the stars are all further away from Earth than the Moon; and 4) Venus does not have highly structured clouds but rather a quite featureless atmosphere. I could go on (the size of Saturns rings relative to the planet, the location of the continents on the globe), but suffice it to say that Im returning it.

Like others have said, the alligator tail tip was broken off on arrival. As well, the back of the package has a picture to show how to assemble it (which it needs since the pieces are all differently misshapen). However, the photo is mirror image, so that the left side shows the zebra. I think the Japanese language is read right to left, but English is read left to right. I returned it, and not reordering. I thought it would be worth thirty-five dollars, but definitely not.

Adorable puzzle for kids and the adults here had to try it too. It was a little challenging, but we figured out you pick capital letters or lowercase letters on the animals. They have capital letters on 1 side and lowercase on the other. They fit together with all capitals or all lowercase. Each animal piece varies in size. There are a few animals that were so small we had to put aside so our little doesnt eat them. Most are not a choking hazard. Our toddler likes to hold each animal and make the noise the animal makes. Right now she prefers to take the puzzle apart after we put it together to put it away. We find animals from this puzzle in random places, like a dolphin in the cupboard or an elephant in the pantry. It arrived on time in a tall skinny box with ample cushioning.

I found this at a Barnes and Nobles years ago and have bought several as gifts for relatives and my daughters and sons friends. Sturdy, colorful, cute. The kids enjoy playing with it and learning their letters. Its beautiful and cheerful enough to kept for a long time, displayed on a shelf, and taken down to play with when a little kid visits.

Our granddaughter loves this puzzle that we gave her for her 5th birthday! I had been looking at it for over a year. Decided the timing was right--a good challenge, but no so challenging that she would get too frustrated The puzzle can be put together from left to right, or from right to left. This will determine whether you are using capital letters or lower case letters. Also, they need to be tracking their alphabet, (what comes next) as they are identifying the letters. The letters correlate to the name of the animal/bird etc puzzle piece. For example, V is for vulture. Some animals are fairly common and easily identifiable, while others are a little more challenging. We also have the spatial aspect of the puzzle. This puzzle is put together a little differently than some---yes, you are going in one direction, but some of the pieces are a little more challenging to figure out how they connect to the previous piece. So, you are dealing with 1) the spatial aspects of putting the puzzle together, 2) tracking the letters of the alphabet, 3) Remembering whether the letter is upper or lower case, and 4) identifying the animal as a clue to what letter this might be. The only negative point about this puzzle (in my opinion) is that it does not have a lid or a case. Once you tear the plastic off of the puzzle, you do have a nice little box that its in, but nothing to prevent pieces from being spilled or lost. Overall, though, its a wonderful puzzle!

What is great about this puzzle is the animals stand up and you can do the puzzle flat or standing up. Very colorful! I love that it is a wood puzzle

Bought for my grandson. Depending on the childs age, it can be challenging. It was a very fun activity for both my grandson and their parents to do together. Note my grandsons both have autism and this puzzle animals kept their attention. Used to teach letters, colors, while making animal sounds. Just a fun activity

We all had fun learning the planets and other interesting facts about Space. It was the perfect gift for our grandson.
