Greater than one weekI had been thinking about switching to Resolve for awhile, as it seemed to be the new hotness. Using the free version, I was convinced very quickly. The free version doesnt work with all of the video formats and outputs though, so you need the studio version. You can get there by way of $300, or buy any Blackmagic hardware. The price varies from same to $100 more, so this is a great entry point.

> 3 dayI have now owned this item for some time and I do enjoy this item and look forward to using this item. There is plenty to learn, like the program this item is used with. I have been using the free version of the software that this item is used with and chose to keep this company as my full time video editor.

Greater than one weekGreat speed editor and selection dial. Sturdy, quick, well made product with free professional software. No Adobe fees, with more power in one program.

Greater than one weekI love the software and the speed editor. Im still learning how to use both but I can already see the benefit of the speed editor. Though sometimes it does glitch a little. Im coming from recording and editing on my phone. I see the difference. Long as you put the time in to learn it, youll be good. Also the cable for the editor is c to c. And you have to download the manual.

> 3 dayLove this thing. I feel that I’m much faster with it, though I still hunt for keys occasionally (and I’m actually loving the Cut Page now that I’m more used to it). Excellent quality and feel. Did some minor multi-cam work with it, and it worked very nicely for that. Looking forward to more multi-cam editing now. I’m a serious amateur and I’m still glad I spend the money on it. I felt good licensing Resolve and getting this device for free (or vice versa ;-)).

Greater than one weekThis panel was specifically designed for Davinci Resolve’s Cut Page, as such, it works perfectly. However, I primarily use the Edit Page and still find this very useful. I’m not after the “speed”. I’m an amateur editor so I’m in no hurry when I’m editing. Instead, this brings a ton of convenience. Having the search knob and other short cut keys makes editing a bit more fun. Worth it especially as bundled with DVR Studio.
