I bought a Braun thermometer that requires (strongly suggests) that you use one of these every time you take a temperature. So, while I was at it, I bought two of these packs, only to find out that the Braun comes with one pack of 40. This should teach me a lesson, but it probably wont. Read Whats In The Box when making a purchase. Its just my wife and myself now, and if we have to take a temperature 40 times in the next 3 years, Id be amazed. And, to be honest, if we had a day where we took one or the others temperature even 3 or 4 times, we probably wouldnt change the filter until the next day. Maybe if I had ear hair like Frodo Baggins, okay. Otherwise, uh, uh.

We bought this when covid pandemic started. We got a chance to monitor our own covid cases and it was very helpful. Seems far more accurate than the ones which take your temp on the forehead. Worth the money.

Why didnt I buy an ear thermometer years ago? These lens filters work great with my Braun thermometer. I saw some other off brand filters I was tempted to purchase, but after reading some of the reviews I decided it wasnt worth taking a risk. Maybe if you are in a medical office it might pay to buy in larger volume to save money. But I dont get sick very often, so these will last several years for me. This is so much better than mouth thermometers where you have to clean it off and hold it in your mouth seemingly forever before it beeped - if it beeped at all.

Weve had a Braun ThermoScancan thermometer for several years now. For a while, we kept reusing the filters, but one day realized the readings seemed inaccurate. My son clearly had a fever, but the thermometer was saying his temperature was 97 degrees. We went out and purchased new filters, tried again, and got a reading of 101. You cant simply wipe off the filters and get a good reading, it really needs to be a new filter. I know there are generic brands available out there, but if we feel like we need to know our temperatures, we want accuracy. Im only comfortable using filters designed to work exclusively with the thermometer we have. These little things give me peace of mind.

I would only use the original and this is the original work great

They snap on & more importantly stay on - unlike the off-brands. Because they fit tightly & dont move in the ear or slide around you get consistently accurate temperature readings.

These work exactly as expected! No surprises, make sure you change them as directed or your temperatures will start to be inaccurate. I would take my temp on the way out the door and forget to change it for a few days. My temperature would start to reflect high fevers as the tip wore out.
