These really work, Ive suffered with cold sores all my life at least 4-5 times a year now maybe 1 a year but very mild gone in 2 days at most. But if you take them as soon as you feel tickling or sore throat or stressed out, a cold sore does not appear. When I start to feel it coming I take like 4-5 a day for 1st 2 days or so and then I can go to 2-3 a day. I have been buying these for the past 4 years and they really do work, my husband takes them also. Best part is that they are easy to swallow and are not too big like the other ones out there. I take them twice a day during winter times since every time I get a sore throat I get a cold sore, but not anymore.

I do carry the virus that produces cold sores, HSV1. I havent had an actual sore in years, but sometimes, whether a psychosomatic reaction to worrying about it, or real, feel a tingle here or there around my mouth or on my lips. I eat a vegetable-based diet, so if Im not careful sometimes I dont get enough L-Lysine, and these are good to have around for those days. I did read on the Mayo Clinic website that it can be dangerous to have too much of this in supplement form, especially as it interacts with certain medications, so look into that yourself and be careful.

I started using Lysine about a year ago and within a month noticed that my complexion evened out, and my hair and nails were growing like crazy. My hairdresser said that I have the hair of a 20 yr old and she cant explain it.....I am 65. And my nail tech said that my nails were healthy and strong. When I told my sister about it, she went to the buy it locally and informed me that they all had carcenagetic fillers. Sure enough they did! So I went online and found BRI Nutrution Lysine and it had no bad fillers in it. This is the only brand I will ever buy. Its effective and safe. I have already referred 3 friends! I have to add that I am used to taking 1000 mg/day so I just take 2 of the 500 mg.

As a long time sufferer of cold sores I have tried pretty much every purported remedy out there with no luck. Knock on wood, I take 2 of these every day and have not had a single flare-up in over 2 years. It’s working for me and I would recommend anyone who has the same issue to give it a try.

Taking L-Lysine has stopped me from getting cold sores and helped lesson my shingle break out. Lysine is an amino acid that cuts the occurrence, severity, and duration of the frequent herpes outbreak. It is great stuff!!! I havent had a cold sore in over a year now and I used to get them every other month or so. Now when I feel a tingle, I take L-Lysine for a few days and the cold sores never break out!! I like to eat foods with lots of L-arginine (Like chicken, nuts, chocolate and cheese) which feeds the herpes virus. So when I eat a lot of those foods, I take one L-Lysine to even me out.

I started using these lysine tablets to aid in keeping arteries from plaque buildup. I read about this through the Linus Pauling books. I take the lysine along with vitamin C. A combined supplement is sold but it is very expensive and it’s just as easy to take these tablets along with the vitamin C tablets. I like that these come in 500 mg Jose. It does say to take on an empty stomach so I leave the bottle by my bed and in the morning when I wake up I take two capsules. By the time I shower and get dressed and go down for breakfast I am able to eat without waiting. Lysine also helps to prevent from frequent cold sores.

I have been taking (2) daily, one in the morning, one at night for more than a year now. On occasion; in the past I have had outbreaks of cold sores as I am infected with (HSV1) and have been as long as I remember. This product is highly effective; my occasional outbreaks have subsided to a rare occurrence. When I feel tingling, I double the dose temporarily. Should I have an outbreak (Visible), I use my prescribed medication to quickly remedy the immediate situation. This product is obviously much safer to consume than my prescribe medication. The added benefits; my skin is much softer and clearer than I could have imagined. I do not experience any side effects. I have not been paid to provide this review.
