These really work, Ive suffered with cold sores all my life at least 4-5 times a year now maybe 1 a year but very mild gone in 2 days at most. But if you take them as soon as you feel tickling or sore throat or stressed out, a cold sore does not appear. When I start to feel it coming I take like 4-5 a day for 1st 2 days or so and then I can go to 2-3 a day. I have been buying these for the past 4 years and they really do work, my husband takes them also. Best part is that they are easy to swallow and are not too big like the other ones out there. I take them twice a day during winter times since every time I get a sore throat I get a cold sore, but not anymore.

It just works! I have suffered from cancer sores all my life and over the last year has gotten progressively worse...almost every 2-3 weeks from any little nick or bump in my mouth... from a potato chip...anything with and edge. All the doctors and dentists said..its just your body...nothing can be done. At times the cancer sores got so bad I had trouble sleeping and speaking. Felt quite debilitating. The product itself is fine. The company selling these is fine. People should know, however, that Lysine can have side effects. The following is from Medical News Today: There are reports of an association between lysine supplements and kidney problems, and studies in animals suggest that lysine supplements may increase the risk of gallstones and higher cholesterol. My LDL cholesterol reading in 2021 was 24 points higher than a previous test in 2019 after taking Lysine. There could certainly be other things contributing to the elevation of my LDL level, but as I researched side effects of the new supplements I began since the previous cholesterol test the information on Lysine and cholesterol came up in a search. I will have to stop taking it.

I have been taking lysine for a long time. I take a daily dose, but if my system feels out of balance, and gets a little acidic, I amp up the dosage. If I feel the start of a fever blister, I amp up the dosage. I am a vegetarian, and I appreciate that this product has vegetarian capsules. This is a good product, and I plan to continue using it. I used to take 1000 mg tablets of lysine, but they are huge, so I prefer the easier to swallow capsules and being able to modify the dosage more easily.

An amazing product! I use it if I get a cold sore on my lip. It literally cuts the heal time in half! I have used other l-lysine suppliments and this one is by far the best!

I do carry the virus that produces cold sores, HSV1. I havent had an actual sore in years, but sometimes, whether a psychosomatic reaction to worrying about it, or real, feel a tingle here or there around my mouth or on my lips. I eat a vegetable-based diet, so if Im not careful sometimes I dont get enough L-Lysine, and these are good to have around for those days. I did read on the Mayo Clinic website that it can be dangerous to have too much of this in supplement form, especially as it interacts with certain medications, so look into that yourself and be careful.

I started using Lysine about a year ago and within a month noticed that my complexion evened out, and my hair and nails were growing like crazy. My hairdresser said that I have the hair of a 20 yr old and she cant explain it.....I am 65. And my nail tech said that my nails were healthy and strong. So I went online and found BRI Nutrution Lysine and it had no bad fillers in it. This is the only brand I will ever buy. Its effective and safe. I have already referred 3 friends! I have to add that I am used to taking 1000 mg/day so I just take 2 of the 500 mg.

Ive tried a few of the different Lysine brands from Amazon and I like this one the best. Its more expensive than the other ones, but its the smallest lysine pill Ive found. Seems to work fine.
