Its been one year and 2 of these industrial switches survived blistering summer inside a large electrical box with no ventilation. I have 2 of these switches extending my network across a condo complex and powering 6 Lorex PoE cameras which monitor pedestrian and vehicle gates. I got the SFP to ethernet converter for the middle BVtech10port. 4 Lorex cameras powered by one BVtech and 2 cameras powered by the other. LorexNVR---cat6---BVtech10port---cat6---BVtech10port

I needed small POE+ switch with support for a SFP, this little unit fit the bill, plus it mounted on a DIN Rail.

BV-Tech has continued to come out on top impressing me with there build quality and reliability. Ive been doing this for ten plus years and have spent big money on high end brands, and while of course they are good, nothing beats the BV-Tech products for the price. The build quality easily matches if not exceeds the big brands. No need to spend all the money on Netgear, lynksys, or HP network switches. Get the. Eat bang for your buck and buy BV-Tech

Awesome switch in general! Im using it for PoE IP cameras and its completely hassle-free. The DIN-rail mounting option is great for dense wall mounting or use inside an electrical panel. The sfp port is good for fiber uplinks, where you have several cameras at a remote location and use the gigabit fiber as a backhaul to your central switch. Highly recommended!

Good switch have plenty of RJ45 ports. And the uplink that can do 1G ports or SFP port is good to have for the speed. Good price and metal constructions.

I had this switch powering four 5 watt security cameras and it died in less than a year. I replaced it with a TP-LINK 8-Port Gigabit Easy Smart Switch with 4-Port PoE (since I only need four PoE ports) and my cameras came back to life. My setup was well below the advertised max power draw so I know it didnt die from abuse. I do like how the switch is passively cooled. My first PoE switch had a cooling fan and that sucker was LOUD, but it did last five years before giving out.

I am using this switch to power five IP cameras, three of which are PoE (at). It works flawlessly, plug and play, no worries at all. I have not used the sfp so I cannot comment on that, however, I have connected my Netscout to it and am pleased to inform you that indeed it does deliver rated power and bandwidth. I ordered mine from a different source and it took two weeks to arrive I wish I had been thinking correctly and purchased mine here.
