> 3 dayDo a search for error codes Pixma on the net. Youll find out. I know for a fact that some can be fixed through the internal computer on the printers but Canon hides the fact to squeeze you.

> 3 dayI purchased this to replace a Lexmark all-in-one and I couldnt be happier. The quality of photos and everyday printing is very sharp. The only drawback is a warm up period when first turned on, but after that all flows well.

Greater than one weekPros: This printer is very good and easy to use. Cons: The MP480 printer is a Slot machine because the refilled ink cartridge could not be used. This printer would NOT scan or do anything else if the ink cartridge is empty. And it works only with BRAND NEW ink cartridge.

> 3 dayCannot believe Cannons dirty little secret - you cant scan if you are out of ink. What a cheap scam from Cannon, a respectable company would resort to holding your scanner hostage if you dont buy their exorbitantly priced ink. Worthless.

> 3 dayIt is very easy to use and gets the job done, however it gets a lot of paper jams and the ink runs out quickly.

> 3 dayThe printer is good for what I need but it has a couple small issues. The display screen will not open all the way. Additionally, the paper feed is intermittent and registers no paper when there is actually paper. All and all for the price, it will suit my needs fine. I have experience with Canon printers so I can trouble shoot these issues when they arise.

> 3 dayGreat printer and scanner! Pictures come out very nice and clear. It can be a little noisy, but the quality is worth it.

> 3 dayHave used this printer now for two years and it is still functioning well. Other than the usual complaints of high-cost ink and no faxing abilities, my only complaint (recently discovered) is that all functions shut down when the ink on this printer runs dry. For example, I need to scan a document into my computer. I ran out of ink yesterday and received an error from the printer. Even after shutting it off, the error is still there and I cannot override it to scan, despite the fact this doesnt require any ink. VERY INCONVENIENT, poor programming. Still, for the initial cost of this printer its a good deal, especially if you dont print all the time and are conservative with ink.
