18-04-2025It took three days and the budgies were on it and for me it works. It is very sturdy and that is what I wanted. Some things just do not work on a cage because of the way it is designed. The designers seem to forget some things, One must have a strong cage to put certain things on it. My birds do not spend much time in a cage, as they are always free, but they take a break now and then and just go in. They do a lot of social distancing one in the cage, one in front of the window for an hour or more they chat. The world is different now and the birds know it. Stay safe.

> 3 dayThis perch is also great to add another level of space to a rat cage!. The sandy surface trims their nails. It also trims their teeth when they chew on the perch wood, healthier than their plastic litter pan. Rats love to hang out on it and watch activities inside and outside their cage. Its also a safety feature for older or sick rats. Install it next to and slightly lower than a shelf or ladder so if they stumble, they will land on the shelf to prevent a fall.

> 3 dayI like it! Its a good little perch. It took my Quaker boy a little while to trust it, but he uses it just fine. Would buy more.

> 3 dayThese just arrived and while the perch themselves are decent, I was really disappointed with screws and bolts that came with it. The grommets/washers were rusted and unsuitable to be put in any bird cage. Luckily I have some extra bits from old toys laying around so I will just use those so my birds don’t inadvertently chew the rusted metal. Maybe I just got a bad set, but for the price I would hope these wouldn’t be a possible health hazard for a pet. I don’t want to return them as everything else seems great and a good size for my cockatiels, but just be wary and inspect everything.

> 3 dayMy bird was scared of it for a week (such is the way of birds) but after she realized it was a nice place to sit, she began using it. I have it on the door so when the door itself is open she can sit inside the doorway. She is an older bird, about 17 years old, has some arthritis. so she enjoys this perch. I recommend it for any birds that may be arthritic.

Greater than one weekI guess you get what you pay for- when you clean the perch gently with soap and water (for example if bird poops on it), the coarse blue colored part just comes off…. After a few washes it’s just a piece of wood.

> 3 dayAfter recently purchasing a new parakeet and cage I was in need of purchasing additional perches as the perches that came with the cage were not enough. I searched Amazon as sadly since Petland closed its stores my community no longer has any pet stores. I saw this perch stand which I thought would be something different than just another bar across the cage and my new parakeet is on it most of the day. She actually lies down on it and rolls over while holding onto the bars on the cage with her foot. The perch is easy to clean and it will help keep her nails trimmed. This is really a great product and I am very happy with my purchase and recommend it to anyone that owns birds.

> 3 dayThis perch is exactly what I needed for my senior budgie! It took some time to get used to, but now it is her favorite spot to take naps during the day :) It is big enough for her to comfortably preen on but it’s still compact enough that it does not take up a ton of space. It is very easy to clean and has made her nails noticeably shorter without additional nail filing. The quality of the actual perch is good for my budgie, but I’m not sure if it could hold a larger, heavier bird. Very pleased with this purchase!

> 3 dayVery easy to install and sturdy. Works as expected. When I got my bird, his nails were so sharp that my hand would be covered in scratches after handling him. I bought this perch as a temporary fix until I could get his nails trimmed. It took him a solid week to even touch it. Now, its one of his favorite things. His nails are still long, but definitely not as sharp. It took a couple weeks, but this has taken the edge off and I can now hold him without getting scratched. Bonus points that he likes to chew on it as well so his beak also gets a workout.

> 3 daymy birds Loves these little perches! It is the first place they go to in the mornings. Very sturdy, fun colors and easy to wipe off. I have at 3 in each cage. When they are happy I am happy. They come in different sizes. Mine are smaller. It is a good way to keep their feet healthy. Dont just buy one, buy at least 2.
