During the final lap of the Cedar Hill Race Festival in Cedar Hill, TX, the valve extender on my rear wheel failed, causing me to lose control and crash out myself and one other rider. Luckily the other rider is ok but I wasnt so lucky and ended up with a sprained shoulder and possibly a torn ACL (hopefully just a sprain). I have a video of the crash and you can see the tire instantly lose air, causing me to lose control and I have a picture of the tubes stem with whats left of the valve extender still screwed into the stems threads.

They work

Theyre great. I put plumbers tape on them as extra precaution, but Im not sure its necessary. I use sealant in my tubes and therefore buy tubes with removable cores for my deep dish rims. Anyway, these work great!

Worked well

These work great and its nice they come in various sizes to get the perfect look as well as fit for the wheels. No excess air leaks, if it does leak, it is not noticeable, at least no more than brand new out of the box latex tubes. Product is quality and price was also fair.

This is a terrific product. My wheels have deep rims, and the tube for my front wheel only comes with a 40mm valve stem, which makes it difficult to get a good seal with the pump. I bought the 20mm valve extender and installed it with no problem in about 10 minutes. As suggested in several Youtube videos, I used a little bit of Teflon plumbers tape on the threads to ensure a good seal. Now, the pump engages with no problem, and the valve does NOT leak at all. I should have done this a long time ago.
