I bought this SIX years ago and thought it was about time to leave a good review for my trusty umbrella! This is a fantastic personal size umbrella and has served me well through wind, rain, snow and sun. I bought this size instead of the travel size because I read that this one was far more wind-resistant. I would love the ability to make this more compact because it is pretty annoying to take on planes, but Im not deducting a star because I knew of the dimensions before I bought it. Be careful with the pointy end because it is quite pointy. I agree with another reviewer that the umbrella should be fastened with the velcro straps once its closed to prevent inadvertent reopening. I bought this primarily for sun protection and I feel well-shaded and cooler under this.

this umbrella works great, it is like standing in the shade of a building, a good 10 degrees cooler than without. but get the big one or anyone you are with is out of luck.

In Southern California, the weather is so crazy; you need a Coolibar umbrella for protection from the Sun. My sister loves this umbrella since she is outdoors most of the time. It worked so well for her when we had brutally hot days of over 100 degrees.

Great purchase and its so much better than a regular umbrella. It really blocks the heat well - and I live in Palm Springs. As a teacher, we have brutal recess duty! The umbrella helps a lot!

do not worry this parasol is sturdy and protective, heavy duty if you will perfect for sun or rain. good for the price

Works fabulous! Worth every penny! Works just as described use it daily. Great size and great coverage all around. Also very convenient.

This overpriced umbrella broke the very first time I used it. The plastic mechanisms thats supposed to hold the umbrella shut broke right away, and now Im stuck with an umbrella that wont close. I quite frankly feel like an idiot for spending so much money on something so worthless!!! I only gave this one star because the rating system requires it, Id give it negative stars if I could.

Great umbrella for Miami. I use it to obviously protect me from the rain, but it is an amazing protector from the sun.
