This thing works exactly as described. It blocks so much heat and looks great too. Its so large you can fit two people underneath it while walking down the street.

The umbrella is good for sun protection. However, I am annoyed with the weight, the ease for folding and saving space. It is over-priced. The company should work with a creative and versatile designer to enhance the product quality and reduce price.

This Coolibar Umbrella has a great auto-open mechanism with just one easy push of my thumb and then it closes and secures easily when finished. It is very stylish and the handgrip is shaped for easier holding. The vents help with keeping it cool and the 50+ UPF keeps my skin from getting aggravated from too much sun or heat. I am really pleased with this umbrella and would purchase again when/if it surpasses its useful life.

UPDATE: Daily use and still looks and works like new. I love this parasol.

Since I bought this umbrella several of my friends liked it so much that they bought one too. My wife lost hers and promptly bought another. It not only blocks the sin rays but provides a cool breeze when held at the right angle. Usually toward the direction of the sun

Like a shade tree, this umbrella reduces the temperature a few degrees from the direct blazing Texas sun. Vents allow breezes in making it more comfortable. Its sturdy, the mechanisms work well, and a sling handle makes carrying easy when folded. For sun protection and comfort, money well spent.

This umbrella is great! It really does feel like youre standing under a shady tree away from the sun. It is ever so slightly heavier than a regular umbrella, but I think that the protection it provides far outweighs its weight. It is also a bit hard to get it to close- it does require a bit more effort than usual. However, despite all this, it really provides superb protection from the sun and would recommend this umbrella to anyone in a heartbeat- its that great.

Great product. All coolibar items are worth the price for me. My two daughters and I have lupus and sun protection isnt a choice. I purchased this umbrella to be able to watch my son play baseball and to take on other sunny outung. It was delivered quickly and in perfect condition.
