Our Subaru has a factory installed socket that fits this kit perfectly. Literally just plug it in and go. Could not be easier. Works flawlessly.

Fast and easy install. Instructions were intuitive. Everything you need except silicone for the install. It took me 10 minutes after reading instructions 5 mins and watching youtube video 3 minutes

Beats having to use t-taps after identifying the correct factory wire colors, then having random aftermarket wires strewn about. This solution is both easier, and more importantly, much cleaner and more professional. Took all of fifteen minutes in my wifes forester from start to finish. Until I pull the harness from the spare tire well, you cant even tell it exists.

Would use this method again in a heartbeat. Best trailer wiring experience I have had.......ZERO splicing and no guesswork.

Looked long and hard for that connector in my Tribeca, need to remove a couple pieces of plastic where the door shuts. I ended up just removing the rear trim where the tailgate closes as well as the back area where there is storage. its tucked against the wall closest to the tailgate. Then your golden... Worked perfect and i can now tow!

Super simple to plug in. Hides away very easily in the spare tire well and the pigtail is plenty long enough for the trailer. Comes supplied with mounting options but I just let it sit in the spare tire well. As well, this is essentially the only option for a 98-02 Forester. A universal kit does not work due to the separation of the brake and turn lights.

Easy Install. So much better than trying to hack into your vehicles OEM harness and making a mess of things. Simple plug and play install. Everything just plugs in. Permanent installation is a snap and all connectors and wiring can be hidden and mounted easily inside the interior panels of the vehicle.

This is how to install on 2003 outback. Step 1, throw away directions or use them to start the BBQ. Step 2 locate connectors (readily apparent on OPPOSITE side of wheel well from instructions Step 3 plug it in Step 4 ( hardest part) go through the rubber plug down by the spare. I sealed it with a drop or 2 of e6000 to make sure.
