Decal Setting Solution-Micro Scale Micro Sol 102 + Micro Set 101 Package Decal

I preface by stating Im just a beginner or starter builder for gundam/gunpla. Some decals are just pure madness in the curves and wraps that need to be done, think circles and angled arc circle slides. This product will work, but it just doesnt hold that well and I still see silvering, almost everywhere, and thats for primed, painted and sealed and relatively flat surfaces. I switched over to Mr. Mark Softer and Setter, and it really is night and day. Decals really do stick and wrap surfaces, maybe even too well. I know, Im being harsh, this product will work and the price is excellent, but if you can spend more, go for Mark, its just easier overall, especially when your model has like @100+ decals...

Easy to use. Easy instructions.

Used the Sol to remove a model kit decal applied to the painted body of a Matchbox car approximately 56 years ago. Just brush on with a small soft bristle artists brush and keep dabbing gently for 3 minutes or so. Try to gently push on an edge with a fingernail until the product starts to work, as you can move the decal keep brushing until the whole things gets soft and comes off. If any residue reminds, just brush on a bit more solution and buff with a soft cloth. The entire process probably took less than 5-6 minutes. Much safer than using any type of nail polish remover (acetone or non-acetone) as this beads up on the painted surface and only softens the decal, not the paint.

This stuff works as advertised!

This is the stuff you need to get the decals to set better on uneven surface. The red bottle helps set better and the blue bottle helps stick better depending on what you need.

Does exactly what it says follow instructions it gets the job done you dont have to worry about there being issues of it not being lined and centered when you add the decal on when you follow the instructions properly.

I dont know how Ive been in the hobby this long without knowing about this stuff sooner. Makes decal application an absolute breeze!

I would never attach a decal without this stuff. They soften the decal, making it look painted on. Can be a little tricky to keep the decal in place while applying, so experiment a bit before you apply it to your pet project.
