My husband and I love this vacuum ... However, it was VERY frustrating when the crevice tool that was attached to the vacuum broke off within several uses. The plastic hinge ball on the tool broke right off and now the tool is loose and no longer attached so it often falls off when using the vacuum. We did contact customer service but their solution was to disable the machine by cutting off the power chord, take pictures and email them, and then they would send us a new vacuum ... All we wanted was a new crevice tool to pop into place. To disable a perfectly good vacuum seems crazy wasteful. !! Hopefully, in the futue, they will improve in that design flaw in a good hand held vacuum.

Excellent suction and easy to operate and dump out. Picks up kitty litter very well, which was main reason I bought it. But it would be nicer to have the stair attachment, which the msnufacturer told me is NOT available for this model. In hindsight I should have just paid the extra and got the model that did have the stair attachment because this model has only a very narrow pick-up part or opening.

This little vacuum arrived in the mail today about an hour ago. I just finished cleaning the stairs with it and I am pleased with how much cleaner the stairs are. It is easy to use, lightweight, and has decent suction. HOWEVER: This little baby is delicate. I am not blaming the manufacturer for this, but 2 pieces of this vacuum have already broken off. First, that red rectangle in the picture is supposed to be attached. It flips down for getting into crevices. Cool! But, I thought it was just an attachment that slides off. So, I slid it off. And to my astonishment, it came off so easily that it took me several moments to realize that it had actually broken off and is not unusable. So, I will have to do without that little flip-down crevice thing. Second, that small black rubber rectangle in the pic came off as I was emptying the receptacle. Again, I was astonished because at first, I thought it was something I had vacuumed up. But, no. It came off from the inside port where the gunk goes into the receptacle. Can I reattach it? Not a chance. So, again, hopefully it is not necessary because I will be doing without it from now on. Again, I am not blaming the manufacturer, but it would be nice if it didnt fall apart with ease at the carelessness of the user. It is a vacuum, after all, and when people are cleaning, we are not always careful; we do not expect our vacuums to be so delicate. The main parts of it seem to still work, but just keep this all in mind. I mean, it was the cheapest stair-cleaning handheld vacuum available. You get what you pay for :)

Great little Vacuum for small furniture or cleaning up dusty/cobwebby corners but not ideal for use on any size of actual carpet unless you want to feel like youre scrubbing a swimming pool with a toothbrush.

Ive owned several other Dustbuster type vacums, all battery powered. In a word, they all sucked, and not in a good way. After a few months, The Black and Decker Dustbuster would only run for 5 minutes. After reading multiple reviews about how bad the batteries for all these vaccums were, I decided to get the Dirt Devil Scorpion, a corded vacuum. Its way more powerful than any DC vacuum and picks up just about everything in my house. The cord is pretty long so I only have to plug it in to 2 different outlets to clean my whole house (1,000 sq. ft.). Ive also used it to vacuum my car since I have an outlet near my driveway. It is kind of noisy and it does blow a lot of air back through the vents. The other thing is that the filter fills up quickly so I have to clean it out 2X during my house cleaning. At less than $30, its a good deal too (Amazon Used but looked like new). I believe normal price is about $45-Still a good deal). I give it a solid 4 out of 5. Im an AC/DC fan, but in this case, AC definitely beats DC!

I bought it to use on dog hair that accumulates on the stairs. Theres an outlet downstairs located near the bottom of the stairs, and with the addition of a 30 extension cord I can get the stairs in one go without having to stop half way up and plug into a different outlet. The cord length of the appliance is reasonable, I just wanted it longer. It has good suction power and works well for its intended purpose. Measuring the current draw with a P3 Kill-A-Watt meter shower that with 120V line voltage the vacuum pulls 4.97 amps with a clean filter. That drops down to 3.98 if I hold my hand over the air inlet for a few seconds. The amp rating in the add copy is put there by marketing and their number is probably a peak startup current measured when the unit is first switched on. Do bigger numbers sell more units? The vacuum is much better than a cordless vac in duration (naturally) and suction power both. The built in crevice tool is a nice feature that allows me access to much tighter places than it would otherwise be able to reach. So far the crevice tool is holding up well for me. The power switch is fairly easy to operate and stays firmly in position when you release it. The dirt cup and filter are easy to take off, clean, and put back on. Its small size and light weight make using it a breeze. And that brings me to the only down side. I wish it had exhaust air deflectors to direct the air coming out of it to the rear instead of the sides. At times the exhaust air will blow the very dirt and pet hair away from the nozzle one is trying to capture. Especially in small spaces like the stairs. It doesnt get hot, but it does get quite warm after running for a while. Not enough for me to be a concerned or worry about it. This is pretty much par for the course of any corded vacuum cleaner. I got the unit in January 2021 and today is 2021/August/30. Its still going strong after a number of 15-20 minute weekly use cycles.

Suction power is good and filter easy to clean. Vacuum is heavier than expected, very loud, and cord was too short to reach middle of my stairs from either end.

Although I have a Dirt Devil, I was looking for a vacuum that would maneuver more easily in my automobile. This portable vacuum was the perfect solution for my needs. I am able to reach the tighter spaces in my vehicle that I was not able to vacuum with my Dirt Devil. Lightweight and portable make this vacuum a must for keeping my vehicle clean.
