This is my favorite floss!

When I first ordered this I was so happy to have a gentle floss that was comfortable to use but didn’t throw particle bits all over the place. This is comparable to Reaches gentle care they discontinued but much better I think. My complaint is the new packaging. It’s flimsy cardboard. The first one I received was in a plastic container like most floss comes. Please go back to the plastic container!!

I am a huge fan of this floss - it is by far the best performing I have ever used. BUT, the new paper-based box for the floss is really one step forward, three steps back. Why? 1) Paper seems more Earth-friendly than plastic, but the (innovatively designed) plastic box could have been retained yet used recycled plastic, plant-derived plastic, and/or biodegradable plastic — instead of using paper. The company should have tried harder to find an innovative, green material — this customer will pay the premium associated with a more green material. 2) As someone who uses floss after brushing, my hands are wet. If you repeatedly get the new paper box wet, it becomes squishy and loses structural integrity. 3) I travel for work a lot and pack this floss in my toiletries. The paper box gets crushed, whereas the plastic box of course maintained form. This is a huge concern, because once the box is crushed, ease of use is gone. 4) It is actually much harder to thread the floss around the cutting edge of the paper box than it was to thread around the cutting edge of the plastic box — because of the paper box’s flap being in the way. 5) Harder to know how much floss I have left because the paper box is not translucent. The plastic box was.

This is the best floss on the market!

If you are long in the tooth, have periodontic problems, recession, or big gaps around the roots, its important for your overall health to floss meticulously. This floss makes the task so much easier! And, it has a pleasant scent of cardamom. Thank you. Dr. Tung!

I was introduced to flossing 45 years ago by a renowned dentist. He clearly stated that effective floss MUST SHRED to some extent in order to scrape away plaque from between the teeth. I dont understand all of these waxed and shred-resistant floss that have gained popularity. They just dont work in terms of plaque removal. Yea, maybe they remove small bits of food, but that is the least that floss should be doing. Sorry, this floss is just like all the others - they dont scrape between teeth. Ill stick to POH floss [which regrettably is not as good as it used to be].

The only floss I ever loved before finding this one was Superfloss by Oral B because it was so good at picking out both small and large debris as well as felt really nice on my sensitive gums. Since they stopped making Superfloss I have been not so great about flossing everyday because waxed floss does not work nearly as well, that thick floss they sell for dental braces is way to huge for my tooth gaps, and unwaxed feels too rough on my gums. I finally did a massive google search on this and finally saw someone (just like me now) who was looking for a true Superfloss alternative and found Dr Tungs Smart Floss. I was hesitant to buy it at first because it’s harder to find (my CVS doesn’t sell it) and I thought maybe it was more expensive than it should be. In the end tho the amount of rolls and total yardage of the floss is very economical. The function of the floss is amazing! Cleans out your teeth so much better than the other flosses (the strands puff up like soft cloths in between each tooth grabbing debris but the then pull out of even my smallest tooth gaps very comfortably). Writing this review because I know there are people like me looking for a Superfloss replacement or people who are just looking for floss that works great but doesn’t agitate their gums. Try it out, so curious to see what more people think!

I dont usually leave reviews, but I have to say, this floss deserves it! Its the best Ive ever used. I was using the slide kind and always felt like it wasnt getting everything. After one use of this, my teeth felt like I just left the dentist from a cleaning. And I love the fact that its not in a plastic container.

This is the closest floss to the discontinued Listerine woven floss I have found!
