> 24 hourTo adjust how a door sits in the frame during initial installation is easy -- just shim the frame. But after the trim has been on for a few years, the house shifts a little or the door shrinks a little, and it needs to be adjusted again. Removing and replacing the trim is a PITA. These accomplish that adjustment without having to take off the trim.

> 24 hourThe shims worked well to align a heavy metal-clad front door that was sagging. The deadbolt was striking the plate instead of going into the bore, and the whole door had to be muscled up in order to lock it. One issue that I had to work around was that a single shim was not enough to align the door, and with two shims the door would not close. The instructions do not have any mention of this, however if two shims are arranged fully overlapped facing each other with ribbed side being in contact, and the corners of the one that is facing outward are trimmed to fit the indentation in the door jamb, they adjust the door by ~3/32 that was just enough to do the trick in my case. Note that the shims that I received had a 3/4 depth cutouts for the bolts that can be seen in the multi-pack listing for this product.

> 24 hourFor years I used cardboard for shims with mixed results over time (cardboard compresses over time). I bought these shims when my front door once again wouldnt lock. The dead bolt was hitting below the bore in the door frame. I removed the card board shims and replaced them with two of the EZ-SHIMS. The door locks normally again. I dont see the EZ -Shims compressing like the cardboard does. The only minor issue (really a non-issue for me), is that you will probably have to trim them as they are not the correct shape for most newer hinges. In order to fit the EZ-Shims in the hinge mortise for hinges with rounded corners, two corners need to be trimmed. That is easily done with a pair of scissors.

> 24 hourThe design of the product made it simple to insert the shim without removing the hinge.

> 24 hourThese hinge shims are perfect for nudging your door over a little at a time. I had a slightly crooked exterior door with a gap at the bottom. Just loosened up the screws on my hinges and slid in a shim, tightened up and it did what it was supposed to. Good cheap fix. Recommended! Make sure you know the size and screw pattern of your hinges before buying. :)

> 24 hourGreat product. I bought these to level out the shotty work the home builders did when installing some of the doors in the house. Easy to install and adds just enough to not be noticable.

> 24 hourDue to some settling my exterior door was no longer plumb and difficult to lock. I used one of these to bump out the bottom hinge a bit and it now closes and locks perfectly.

> 24 hourLove these. Found out my door installer had use plain cardboard to shim a door, and it was sagging out of true. These were super easy to install, fit exactly, and the door now closes better than ever!

> 24 hourWe just had double doors installed in our home, a complete rebuild including the frame. When the installation crew left, we noticed that the new doors didnt close properly. So a bit of research, brought us to the need for hinge shims. The E-Z shims were the perfect solution to make the minor corrections needed. At 1/16 thickness, they can be combined if needed. Very easy to install, and a value for the money spent. Couldnt find this product locally, but Amazon had them . Quick shipping too. These are made of a pvc material, but should last a lifetime.
