Elgato Stream Deck Classic - Live production controller with 15 customizable LCD keys and adjustable stand, trigger actions in OBS Studio, Streamlabs, Twitch, YouTube and more, works with PC/Mac

I am mainly using the stream deck for video editing while trying to learn Da Vinci Resolve 18 with the added bonus of using home assistant to be able to run home automations and set up scenes. It works as intended and can get as deep as your imagination will let it! I use it for events that I host for seamless presentation control while also being able to monitor my home conditions and accessory states. I am even able to use the hub in my monitor so I can save space on my computer! Really happy with the product.

So I absolutely love this thing. It makes EVERYTHING easier - from my 3d modeling keystrokes, shortcuts, launching Programs and just being awesome to look at and customize, I just have a few quick quips which stop the perfect 5 star review: 1: I cant do quick strings of text, only shortcuts. You can post chat messages and the like to Twitch, or YouTube, but Im not a streamer, so.. 2: The included pictures are everything Ive done for my keys; the problem? You have to access their website to make the little thumbnails, and the link was.. a tad hard to find. Its not included in the download, which makes absolutely no sense. 3: Ive seen people do actual coding for keys to this, but I have no clue how. Id love a way to learn this. But for now, in my first week, its amazing. Ill be sure to edit this as time goes on!

My 15 year old Mad Catz Cyborg Keyboard has more hot keys then this brand new hot device. Majority of the hot keys on this are for a capture card that Elgato makes, if you dont have this device then the majority of the keys/commands are useless. It has some OBS support, but very limited. It can only switch scenes or turn sources on or off, which is great but you cant start or stop stream or recordings or switch profiles without assigning them custom made hot keys. I cant switch any song tracks in Spotify using the multimedia keys while in a game, for example League of Legends. This makes the device completely unusable for me. Given that this is targeted at streamers I would have expected this functionality to work perfectly out of the box. (see edit below) USB Cable is also permanently attached so you cant adjust the length of the cable you need which is frustrating. I also wish there was an on/off or brightness slider physically on the device. I dont need the device to be on 24/7. I wouldnt mind seeing a much more smaller compact strip version of this device that has only 6 Keys for around $50. I would get one for each side of my keyboard. Edit: After contacting Elgato support several times over the last 4 months and not getting any helpful feedback I was finally able to resolve my issues on my own. I needed to take ownership of the C:Program FilesElgatoStreamDeck folder and once I did this the StreamDeck worked in all applications where previously it would only work in some specific applications.

I am an accounting consultant. I use Excel, Access, and other Microsoft products as well other specialty software. I use this device for passwords, opening databases and spreadsheets, one button for copy and another one for paste (dont know why a standard keyboard does have one button for each) and I have also programmed hotkey functions using ctrl or alt or F keys. And yes, you can create an undo button. It is limited in how many keystrokes you can do but you can make it work. It has changed my world!! Software loads like a dream and configures easily. Even gives you an easy tool to create your own icons for the buttons. Simply the best thing ever invented since the wireless phone. One more thing - you can also have multiple pages which means you can program more than just 15 buttons! Out of all the investments Ive made for my streaming setup, the Elgato Stream Deck is hands-down the best. It is a custom OBS hotkey pad, a soundboard, a audio hotkey pad, a program quick-launch tool, a Photoshop tool pad, a multimedia controller, a Twitch chat automator... and so much more. You can literally make the buttons do anything. You can set different profiles for different streams (I have different ones for my Splatoon and Pokemon streams) and you can set profiles for different programs outside of streaming as well. If youre an Adobe Creative Suite user, or a music editor, you can easily incorporate this into your hotkeys setup. It is really well made: metal construction, silent buttons, high-res lcd displays for the buttons.... You definitely get your moneys worth with this thing. I highly recommend this as an investment for streamers who are looking to up their streams production value, or if youre just a power user who wants a customizable tool for their workflow.

I use this for streaming, music, and video editing. This thing is a dream. You can setup tweets and various actions that are a push or hold of a button away. This has increased my productivity in my studio and my twitch streams. It has tons of plug-ins from the Stream Deck store and just changes my life as a content creator and artist. You’ll see what I’m talking about when you get it. I can also see how you can use this on your 9-5 if you work with computers and have a lot of similar tasks to complete. Why double click when you can press one button and open several programs at once while sending a tweet and email at the same button press? It just works is all I can tell you.

With the pandemic still keeping everyone at home, and with all meetings turned to the virtual platform, it was the right time for the husband - a magician - to make the full pivot to the virtual stage as well. The Elgato Streamdeck was, without a doubt, the one device that made performing 12 magic shows in a single day possible. The Streamdeck is a one push button workhorse. It helps streamline our work so that we can start and fade out music, change camera angles, put up lower third text on the screen, change window views, copy web links and other information to clients, and pretty much streamlined all our work with a push of a button. The buttons themselves are LED, and you can custom them with whatever icon you want so that you remember which each button is for. The buttons are bright and easy to push, responds quickly on our laptop, and is large enough to see, but not so large that it takes up all the desk. If you use all 15 buttons, you can also program the buttons to have submenus so you can utilize another 15 slots. Programming the unit is very simple, and both the husband and the kid were able to program their own separate profiles so that they could use the Streamdeck in different ways. For the husband, he utilized for all of his virtual show functions, while the kid programmed his for game streaming. The unit is very well made and if you find yourself have to switch windows, do repetative functions, and want to speed up your productivity, this is a must have device to add to your workspace arsenal.

I have referred all my colleagues to this and they love it just as much as I do! It is SUPER tech friendly plus it is mac AND windows compatible! If you know how to drag and drop items on a desktop/phone, then you are almost an expert on working with the Stream Deck. Want to open multiple website links with the push of a single button? Easy. Zoom shortcuts? Done. A customizable soundboard? No problem. 10/10 would recommend this to ANY teacher!

I loved my standard Stream Deck so much, I had to upgrade to the XL version! I do both video editing and livestreaming, both of which I use this heavily. For live broadcasts its almost a requirement, and for post production it simply makes my life easier. But also, given the customization of this thing, you can also do a ton of other things to improve workflow. Example, with the push of a button, you can open your email, socials, applications, and play music all at once. I literally have a button labeled start work day that runs a ton of things. If I could nitpick, the angle of view isnt adjustable, and if you use this with a USB hub, it doesnt start automatically. Some of the plug-ins are also Windows only, not on Mac. Otherwise, love this thing.
