Had the Stream Deck for a few days now and I gotta say im really impressed so far. It feels like a very premium product and looks it too. The cord is not too long at only about 3 feet or so, and theres no option to extend it. The LCD screens are very vibrant and the buttons feel solid. When you use a button that is an on/off switch (like a source on OBS) the key will light up or dim depending on whether its activated or not. I can see them in the future possibly releasing updates to add more options to what you can do with the stream deck. Some things i would like to see are live streaming controls for youtube live because currently they only allow you do comment/stream through your twitch account and I have taken youtube gaming as my home for streaming. All the hotkeys that you can program are nice and you can even set buttons to bring up certain websites at the click of a button. The option to make folders is also a very good feature; though you can only have folders on the main page. I hope they allow for more folders within folders in the future. This has been a game changing device that i have been able to use for my streams, but ive also set up some pages for Photoshop tools, and am planning on doing one for the Sony Vegas Pro tools as well. The option to tweet directly with 1 button is an awesome feature and I use it frequently. My time with he product has been short and sweet so far, and I can honestly see myself using this product (and future products of this line) for years to come! Pros: Sturdy, plastic material is light and solid Buttons have a good feel to them Stream deck doesnt move much on desk Folders option allows for hundreds of inputs twitter integration custom hotkeys Media controls (volume up/down ect.) Fast response time within stream deck and between the deck and PC On/Off hotkeys will light up/dim when on or off on the stream deck Cons: Lack of Youtube live support limited to creating folders strictly on the home screen lack of cool startup animations (though not really a con just a visual thing) Short cord and lack of changeable connection Future hopes: Release update to include support for Youtube live like the options for Twitch (chat message, subs, viewers, go live/end stream) Future models with more keys/features would be awesome. Hopefully any future models will also have longer cords/ possibly be wireless, though i admit to not knowing how this would affect the latency

The Stream Deck offers a lot of functionality in a small form factor. The build quality is solid, it feels nice to work with the unit. The buttons are easy to program although they do not always seem to provide basic functionality as described (e.g.: taking a screen shot). This does not work and it is not clear why not. The LEDs provide a clear indicator what the button’s functionality is for, at that particular time. It is extremely easy to reconfigure them as required. Even for non-streamers this product offers a nice range of functionalities for the user’s workflow in a visually pleasing and tactile interface.

Added this into my workflow, and it has made a huge quality of life improvement I have set up profiles for Lightroom, Premier, and Photoshop, and mapped my most used shortcuts to it. I wont be removing this from my setup anytime soon! I also made a profile for Elite Dangerous, and it is wonderful! Theres a very very slight delay so i cant see it being used for competitive games, but in games like E:D where you just need to hit a key to open the scoop or lower landing gear, and it isnt going to kill you to have half a second delay, then this is for you too! Friend of mine uses this for streaming on twitch to change between scenes and a few other OBS shortcuts, they use the smaller streamdeck for this and works great

This was one of the easiest upgrades to my stream! Instead of me opening all of the programs/sites needed for my stream, I now hit one button and they all pop up! I can toggle scenes and objects in streams with the push of a button. I can configure my own sound boards. I have also configured chat messages to display in Twitch which activates events in my Streamlabs Ankhbot! Early cons, toggling objects on and off are tied to only one scene. Either a multi-action button needs to be created or a separate button for each scene. There isnt a Spotify-only section yet; I believe to properly operate these controls, Spotify has to be your active window and then multimedia controls will work. With the very little shortcomings Ive noticed, I still have to give this 5 stars. Its a device I wish I had years ago. -WithSteve-

Stream Deck is light weight and easy to use. I use it every day and it has served me well. Lets talk about the hardware. The design is simple and straight forward. The whole deck is a hard plastic and it has 15 individual LCD screens/keys (5x3). Each key can be assigned to perform a specific function on your computer. It comes with an adjustable base that allows for multiple viewing angles and it connects to your PC via USB. The display of the LCD panels is bright and though the resolution is a bit small (of course) the images come through clear. That pretty much it! Lets talk about software! The Stream Deck software is just okay-ish. It is very simple to use and gives the user a lot of custom-ability. There are quite a few extension that allow the user to control different aspects of their computer, streaming software, social media outlets and misc software. The Stream Deck was really designed for online streamers and it does a good job taking a lot of the multitasking away from the user. I have setup multiple profiles/folders on my Stream deck depending on the task at hand. Some keys launch websites, others launch apps, some kill tasks/processes on my PC. Even though there are only 15 programmable keys, you can have multiple folders and profiles that allow you to switch to different panels. I currently have 75 functioning macros keys across all my panels. It can be a bit buggy at times when assigning icons to your macro keys. For instance, I assigned a personalized icon for a particular macro and after an update, it was gone. This happened several times of the course of about 3 months, which got quite frustrating. Not the worst thing, but enough of an annoyance where I felt I should created a macro with the stream deck to fix broken icons on said stream deck Another, issue I came across was issues with some of the stream deck extension like “Set Audio Device”. This is an extension that automatically switches default input/output audio devices from a Windows OS level. I use this quite a lot being a gamer and an audiophile. I have multiple headphones, headsets and surround sound systems setup that I frequency need to switch between. The issue I came across was the extension would lose my settings and forget all the audio devices and their key assignments. Luckily, it hasn’t happened in awhile, so perhaps a software update has fixed this. Aside from the default actions/extensions that come with the deck. I haven’t yet seen much development for 3rd party extensions. The software has a “more actions” section that takes you do this semi-repository of additional actions that users can download and install. As of writing this review, there are maybe thirty extensions that you can utilize (aside from the defaults) So is this worth $149.99? Well… it depends. If you are someone who does online streaming quite often or a person that performs the same routine tasks daily. This would definitely pay for itself just in the amount of time it could save you. Being able to perform multiple tasks and processes with the click of a single button, definitely makes it worth it (IMO). I don’t think the average PC user however would get the same utilization from it. ------------- PROS 1.Very simple and easy to use 2.Flexible functionality 3.A lot of programmable panels and keys for heavy multitaskers. 4.Powerful macros can be programmed (for more advanced users) 5.Support for major streaming services like Streamslabs OBS and XSplit CONS 1.Software can be buggy. 2.Limited 3rd party development. 4.Price

This unit makes things happen quickly while being easy to set-up. I enjoy having certain features available at the touch of a button and wouldn’t mind having a larger one!

I have been using the Stream Deck for five days. I must say this is exactly what I’ve been looking for. I’m NOT a streamer, but I’m an IT pro as well as a gamer. I’m always looking at cool new ways to interact with my computer over icons on a desktop or mouse / keyboard. The games I play have a lot of key binds and I do a lot of listening to audio while playing which being able to control these things without having to minimize your game is wonderful. I’ll start off by saying I’m running Windows 10 and it’s working great. For those comments that say you can’t get the Stream Deck to run key combos while you’re in game, you need to run the Stream Deck engine as admin, only because your video game or other app is running as such. Any game / app that isn’t running as Admin can be easily used without setting this. Installation is simple and easy to understand. The USB cable is fixed to the device, which does kind of suck, but I’ve been able to run it with a USB extension cable and it’s working fine. I’ve found it a sinch to get custom key icons, I just go to Google and type in whatever I’m looking for such as “Razer Logo” and download the one that looks like what I want and set it to the key which makes it much easier to learn as you can identify the keys much faster. The device is snappy and has zero lag when pushing buttons. You can make “folders” which is a button that gives you a whole new set of buttons, think of it as a folder on your smart phone when you have a group of apps. This is a super nice feature and I didn’t even expect that it would do this, but it does. I know some people say that they are bummed that it will only allow folders on the top level, but this is probably needed as making a folder structure that is 3 or 4 + layers deep would either slow down the device or just make it stop working all together. I find the size of the device to be about perfect. The buttons are not so small that you have to overly divert your concentration to hit them and they aren’t so big that it’s obnoxious. They really did make this easy to use. You can also brighten or dim the buttons depending on your environment. I find this nice as when I’m gaming at night it’s not beaming into my eyeballs. I do wish there was more functionality for things not related to streaming and such. I would like to see more multi press or even macro support like a proper mouse or keyboard driver does. I would also like to see a way to make multiple profiles, say one for work and one for gaming, this would give the device a lot more functionality. I’m going to be writing the company after this and letting them know these requests as I really do think this sort of device is the future for input. People are looking for more ways to simplify their computer use or to add that functionality that they want and this is that device. The fact that the keys are OLED screens so they are illuminated custom icons really makes this device sing. If it were like it’s competitors where you have to make tiny paper cutouts and then back light the paper, it just wouldn’t do. I would recommend this device to anyone looking for custom key inputs for their computers, games or simulators. This will be installed in my iRacing sim as a replacement button box and I’ve already told about 10 people about this and they are all buying one. Even with the fact that it’s the first version with only key press assignments or launching apps / websites, it’s still enough to get started and I look forward to what they might do in the future. I will update this review if anything changes.

Like many others whove purchased this before me, I think this is the best thing for streamers since the capture card. It has so many functions and things that it can do, it blew me away. I wont get into the technical details, because there are plenty of other reviews that can explain it far better and youve probably read them by now. I like everything about this device so the easy review is to list a few things that could be better: - The buttons are very vulnerable to glare, even at 100% brightness. - For the little ramp/tray that holds the deck up at an angle, needs some rubber feet so it doesnt slide on a smooth desk. - Longer cord. The 3-4 foot cord isnt awful, but for those of us with a large desk, youll have to use a USB port. BIG THING HERE!!!! There are many reviews on Reddit and Amazon that say you cannot use this on a USB port. THAT IS NOT TRUE! The device is USB 2.0 and requires more power than a USB 2,0 port allows. How do you fix this? BUY A USB 3.0 PORT! Look at the one in my picture, had it for two years and the stream deck plugged in an functioned with ZERO issues. So dont listen to the naysayers who are ignorant, buy a USB 3.0 port that HAS EXTERNAL POWER feeding it, and youll not need to worry about the short cord.

I bought this as a gift for a streamer friend. They love how easy it is to setup and get started. Their stream quality is higher because of this. Easy transitions and other cool interactions on a push of a button. If youre serious about your stream you definitely need this!
