I tested this power supply with a meter. With no load it reads around 12.5 volts With a 1 amp load it reads 12 volts With a 1.24 amp load it drops below to an unacceptable limit of 11.57 volts With 2.18 amp load it drops to 11.35 volts A 5 amp power supply would not drop below 12 volts at 2 measly amps. Know what you are buying. This is only 1 amp. If you truly need 5 amps then this is not the right purchase. My unit didnt come with a sticker like the picture. It came in a black case with no serial number. And the output (amp) specs were painted on instead of engraved/stamped into the case like the rest of the specifications listed on the unit. Im giving it 1 star bc i like the splitter. Thats it. PROS: Would make a very very good 1amp power supply for those who need one. Id suggest you buy this if you are using undercabinet led lights. It makes a great replacement for the tiny power supply that those usually come with. Wont work with my installation bc I need 3 amps minimum.

Bought late Feb 2019 and quit working end of Oct 2019. Would not recommend. Amazon did refund my money back.
