Works as expected

Cameras went down. still had the old cables that this unit replaced so just reconnected the old ones and everythings back up. closer inspection and everything looks fine, just stopped working.

I had built a splitter out of components and had it in a small box. Some cameras insisted on giving out at night (when current draw went up to support the IR emitters). So I put in two of these splitters. All the cameras now work correctly.

Does not have the power to drive 8 cameras. the female connection to the 8 power cords was damaged. quality control missed this one looks like a repackaged return item. shipping was fast thats reason for 2 stars.

I bought this to replace cheap model for my home security cameras that overheated and died. No problems with this unit. Just make sure it provides enough amps for your cameras and you should be good to go. It’s not a cheapie wall wort, it’s more heavy duty like a laptop charger. Recommended
