A few months after switching to wet shaving, I ordered my first Feathers. My Sharks, Derbys, and etcs are now just backup. These are sharp, and maybe a newbie (like me) should be careful... but technique is part of the wet shaving game. And part of the fun. Also, Feathers are one of the more expensive of blades. BUT... when I compare to advertising-driven cartridges, even the most expensive DE blades are cheap. The bundle I bought them in was about .29/blade. I use a blade a week. I can tell in the last few shaves that the blade is dulling, but its never grabby. At worst, it feels like one of my other brand blades when theyre new. For the cost of a Starbucks Mocha I have blades for three months. Not bad in my book! I recommend a pack. If you dont immediately love them, set them aside and come back to them when youre in a pinch for blades. You may find your technique and face are ready for them. But... I bet youll love them. FYI, I use a heavy razor, so it helps me use the weight of the razor (like I should) instead of being tempted to press the blade into my skin. Working in the eye surgery field, I am familiar with scalpals and razors. Feather happens to make many of the blades used in the field of eye surgery. For that reason alone, Id say they know a thing or two about razors. These razors are wicked sharp and glide through stubble with no problem. They are the only brand I trust and the only brand I will purchase from now on. And you cant beat the price. For the same price of these, you only get eight gilette razor heads that will last you a couple months. Waste of money!

This was the best price I found for feather razor blades. Feather has a well-deserved reputation for having among the sharpest blades on the market, and are the blades Ive found I like the best, with BIC razor blades coming in a very close second. If youve used and liked BIC blades, but want something a bit sharper, these are the ones youll probably want to test out. While I personally prefer Feather, BIC tends to hold its edge longer, and Ive gotten 7-8 good shaves from one BIC, and maybe 4-5 shaves from a Feather before it starts to tug, but I get a better overall shave, so its worth the extra cost for me. If youre just transitioning from cartridge razors, keep in mind that you may not necessarily want the sharpest blade (or even need them) for your shaving needs. Plenty of people more prone to razor bumps or with finer facial hair happily shave with Derby, so you just have to find the blade that best suits your skin and facial hair.

These blades are perfect, and just what I needed. Theyre pretty much the only thing that will go through my beard well. The service from the seller was spectacular, as well. Perfect shave every time, but dont use a single blade more than three or four times. Great price, great quality.
