Feather Double Edge Safety Razor Blades 100 Count

After trying many razor brands over the years, I still havent found a brand that outperforms Feathers. They might not be perfect for everyone but I remain convinced that theyre the best. When I ran out, I decided to order a box of one hundred. I thought it was a bit strange that they were only being offered on Amazon through a vender in Thailand but I was willing to wait the month that it takes for delivery because theyre incredibly good. Once they arrived, I put a blade in my Merkur Progress on a #3 setting, lathered up a three day growth and made the first zero pressure pass. To my surprise, there was no glide. Instead, the jagged blade struggled to cut through my modest stubble, resulting in an uncomfortably rough shave. After I rinsed off, I was bleeding from cuts and scratches in my skin. I re-lathered and tried to get through a second pass but couldnt. I let my face heal for a few days before trying again with a new blade only to experience the same results. Ive never had a bad shave from a Feather blade even once. Anyone who is familiar with Feathers will tell you that they melt through whiskers like a hot knife going through butter. In both instances, these flint knapped blades from Thailand felt like a shard of broken glass scraping over my face. Ive been wet shaving with a safety razor for the last decade so Im confident that my technique wasnt the problem. Ive also been using Feathers for the last couple of years and I know how they feel so I knew that something wasnt right. Initially, I suspected that these were counterfeits but Id never heard of this being an issue before. I also couldnt understand why anyone would go through the trouble of making counterfeit razor blades. I remained convinced however and logged onto Amazon to read the negative reviews. I wanted to see if I could find anyone else who thought these were knockoffs. Sure enough, nearly every one star review was attributed to this very problem. I admittedly should have read through the negative reviews beforehand but didnt. I was already familiar with Feathers and I had never heard of counterfeit blades before so there was really no reason to pay attention to the naysayers. I wouldnt have guessed that it would be cost effective to go through the trouble of making knockoff razor blades but maybe its done more easily than I realized. And maybe parts of Thailand are in worse shape than I thought. I cant say enough good things about Feathers. Ive never had a problem with them before. However, Feather either drastically altered their manufacturing process without telling anyone or these are in fact cheap, dangerously defective knockoffs from a country that is known to be part of a problematic, counterfeit culture. Either way theyre unusable. Until another vender on Amazon starts selling them (preferably one in the US or at least a country in the EU), I would strongly advise that you buy your Feather blades from another website that sells them.

Great razor blades. Very very very sharp. Had minor stubble after shaving two days ago, these blades my my skin baby smooth. Very satisfied.

A pack lasts for a while

I have tried other blades and this one by far is the best. Closest shave with the least amount of pressure. I recommend these for anyone using DE shaving

I spent about 3 months trying and carefully evaluating all the double edged blades from a big typical sample pack, i.e. Shark, Personna, Merkur, Derby, etc., etc., etc and the Feathers were simply the best blades by far. Much sharper, glide like a feather; leaves freshly shaved face as smooth as glass, no cuts, no razor burn, no irritation. Youd be crazy to use anything else. Theyre that much better -- not even close.

It’s unbelievable how sharp these are compared to what I got with my safety razor kit. My face feels smooth after using these, and at no point during the shave it felt like I was tearing up my skin.

Simply the best, sharpest blades I have found. Not a great beginner blade, but almost a requirement after moving up in experience.

Sharp and durable

I have a tough, wiry beard and these work very well getting through it. One blade lasts me about a week to week and a half (at least, I use them that long). The only complaint, and reason for 4/5 stars, is that you do get one blade every once in a while which isnt as sharp. Considering how many blades you get in this pack, its not a major issue.

Nice sharp blades for DS safety razors. They are a little more expensive than comparable razors, but I typically get an extra shave out of them so I guess its a wash.
