> 3 dayWorks great. Price is not bad either. The only drawback is with the indicators lights. But it does not take a rocket scientist to figure it out.

> 3 dayHad a nagging problem in one of two GFCI circuits in the house tripping on a regular basis for no apparent reason. Used this to identify a reversed hot/ground lead in one of two bathroom GFCIs. Restored the appropriate connections and problem solved. Alternative would have been a $100 visit from our electrician. The device itself appears well made, only issue I have is that the GFI tester is a bit hair trigger, so I inadvertently tripped the circuit once or twice before I got a feel for it. Good buy, great value

> 3 dayThis one was one of the lowest cost outlet testers I could find. It doesnt have any fancy gadgets but it does what it is intended to do. I really dont think I will need another one since it seems sturdy enough. I am not an electrician so I cant comment on specs, but this is great for us DIY people.

> 3 dayI was playing my electric guitar in my basement a couple months ago when I felt a mild tingle in my hands. After reading up and considering getting my amplifier repaired, I decided to spend a few bucks on a tester first. I found out that despite having three prongs, none of the outlets in the basement are grounded. If I knew that before I bought the house, I would have made the seller fix it. This tester works great, is easy to read, and is very inexpensive.

Greater than one weekI really like this tester. I have many outlets mounted upside down and this tester allows you to read the results on BOTH sides unlike some others on the market. Recommend!

> 3 dayI really hoped this would work as I need to know if outlets are working before an apartment inspection and the functionality read very well. I was rather disappointed when it arrived. Not only did it not work and no readings were given, but it seemed like I was ripping the outlet off the wall when trying to remove it.

> 3 dayFirst of all, it works. There are however two problems, one worse than the other: 1) The end of the plug was blunt, not tapered. Consequently it did could not be pushed into the new (probably stiffer) outlets I was trying to test. It would push into older outlets that had been loosened up a bit through use, but there was no reason to test older outlets. To get this to work, I had to put an extension cord into the outlet to be tested, then put the meter into the well-used extension cord. Ill probably taper the plug later with a file. 2) The yellow/white coding on the label is difficult to read. As someone mentioned earlier, thats easy to fix with a marker, but is a design flaw that could easily be corrected by the manufacturer. Except for those two problems, it worked fine. I didnt have any problem with bleed-through on the lights, and so the indicator was easy to read.
