> 3 day登山に使うため購入。iPhoneのGPSアプリGeographicaと併用で使います。ほぼ同価格の腕時計タイプとしてinstinctと迷いましたがGPSに特化したこちらに。単4電池式で24時間使えるということで縦走旅などで力を発揮しそうですね。事前にしっかりGPXファイルを作りこみ吸い込ませることでナビとして有効に使えます。スマホとBluetoothで繋げることが可能でアプリのGarmin Connectでトラックを詳細マップにて確認できます。メール通知、電話着信通知も有り。スマートウォッチ的機能もあるんですね。

> 3 dayIt is is all in the planning. I replaced a foretrex 101 with the foretrex 601 taking advantage of the new features, plotting routes and transferring from a pc (or Mac) to the 601. Ideal for hands free navigation while walking. I bought some rechargeable batteries which are easy to change over even when walking! I plot routes on my pc and mobile with anquet software and digital ordnance survey maps. I use the mobile instead of a paper map and checking the mobile by exception - relying on the foretrex 601 to guide me on my pre-planned route.

> 3 dayForetrex 601 wird bei mir als Backupgerät genutzt. Als Geologe bin ich häufig in extrem verlassenen Gebieten und nutze das Garmin 66i und das vorliegende Gerät. Habe es immer am Arm (Tag und Nacht) und nutze (speichere) die wichtigsten täglichen Routen. Ein paar Softwarefehler werden miteingekauft (so ist z.Bsp. bei einer Umkehrung der Route, die man in gleicher Abfolge 2X durchgeführt hat, bei einer Zielführung zum Camp bereits nach einer Runde das Gerät auf dem Nachhauseweg, was natürlich nicht geht) , aber der Service von Garmin Deutschland ist mehr als lausig und viel schlimmer, einige Mitarbeiter sind leider bei schwierigen Fragen völlig ahnungslos. Daher sollte man hier nicht auf Hilfe hoffen. Ansonsten ist das Gerät erste Wahl im wirklichen harten Einsatz, wo man Fenix und co. nicht wirklich nutzen kann. Die angegebenen 36 h Laufzeit wurden bei mir in etwa erreicht. LG Dr. Claus
