> 3 dayThis Heart Rate Monitor is great and much more reliable than Garmins newer Soft Strap (P/N: HRM2-SS). I have had nothing but trouble with the Soft Strap: readings erratically ramping up, then dropping way down, the cutting in and out, etc. But, this heart rate monitor is more durable and consistent. Additionally, the battery is much easier to change out, as with the Soft Strap you have to remove 4 small screws to do so: you have to have a very small Phillips head screw driver, and if youre not careful you could easily lose one of the tiny screws. I just dont understand why Garmin had to change to this type of battery compartment, as it is a step backwards in design.

> 3 dayWish theyd make this same strap but with some rubberized coating on the inside of the strap to help grip against the skin so it wouldnt slide down. It doesnt do it quick, but I do a lot of endurance training, and have to readjust the strap every 30-60 minutes because it falls down.

> 3 dayThis is Garmin that appeared, from the online pics, to match the same strap used with my Sear Accurate TM heart monitor, and optional purchase for my 15+ year old Stride-Flex Treadmill. So i took a small gamble an ordered it to replace my current strap that has lost all its elasticity in recent years. It proved to be a perfect match to the original, and was delivered super fast.
