The device connected to the network after several attempts. I set up rules to leave one port on all of the time, 3 ports are on an on/off schedule every 12 hours, so each of those ports has two rules, one for the time to turn on and one for the time to turn off. The last two ports are off all of the time. Right away, one port on the 12 hour schedule misbehaved. I reset everything and set up the rules again. All was mostly good until we tried to use the last two ports. I added the same rules, but the ports would not shut off. I’ve tried resetting and opened a problem with he manufacturer. I have had no response from them. Had to abandon use of the last two ports. Our others continued to work properly and after two months, including the time change and network updates, of working properly, they have suddenly begun ignoring their rules. Would not recommend.

Out of the box it was great. Plugged it in, pressed the power button to turn it on and then held the pairing button down for a few seconds. The Geeni app works well and allows for some customization and timers for each plug. I was so happy that I went out and bought four more of them. A FEW MONTHS LATER... We replaced our internet router and changed the settings for the wifi. This meant we had to reset all the plugs to match the new router configuration. The Geeni plugs WILL NOT RESET. You press the pairing button and the plugs turn on but it will NOT go into pairing mode. I looked this issue up on the web and found page after page of people having the same issue. I tried several noted fixes, such as leaving it unplugged for a while (several days in fact) but nothing worked. The power strip still works but is no longer very smart. I am unable to pair them with anything. I would not and will not purchase these again. I can now see why they were the least expensive on Amazon.

Good smart 6 port switch, not great. The Positives: you can control each port individually or together with the app, or Alexa, each port can be named as well as the device, Alexa will read those settings from the app. responds very quickly and the wifi setup is really easy, The NOT so good: even tho you can schedule(on/Off) each individual port, the schedule is VERY unreliable sometime does not follow the schedule on or off settings, which makes the schedule pretty much unusable. after power outage it comes back all off, doesnt remember the previous settings. this is a great device as long you are not going to use the schedule feature. and you dont care about being off after a power outage.

Under cabinet kitchen lighting. Maybe not what you thought when you looked up this item. I needed to install two runs of under cabinet lighting to make wifey happy. Problem is, I’m not an electrician, I get power drill happy, and I hate extra wires. This solved everything. Between the two runs is my microwave and above the microwave is a cabinet with a single power outlet meant for the microwave. I put this puppy in the cabinet, ran the lighting power cables up through the cabinets and sideways into the cabinet above the microwave, plugged it all in and POW! Now my kitchen looks great and I can schedule exactly when the lights turn on and off, and all I needed was a cheap lighting kit, superglue, a big drill bit and this guy!

I love this - its easy to set up more so than other wifi plugs I have used. Its great having all of the plugs on one surge protector. Setting up the schedule was a bit clunky and then its more infuriating when nothing turns off. Its not like it doesnt ever turn off, but the days and times which it actually decides to turn off are hit and miss. I had plugs from enbrighten and those schedules were way easier to set up and much more reliable. I think if someone can figure out their programming side of this on their app, it would be the best wifi plug. So Geenie, please update your app!

set the strip up went to plug a desk lamp in and it would only work on 5 of the 6 outlets the 6th outlet seems to be missing the metal contact for the hot side of the prongs I attached photos so you can see what I am talking about. Outside of this CLEAR LACK of QUALITY CONTROL! here are my thoughts. Set up was easy but not 100% clear as the app was giving me instructions for another product they make. The 5 outlets that did work seem to worked as advertised. you can label the whole strip and the individual outlets. You can turn on and off each outlet or the whole strip with the app and on the strip there is a physical switch which will power down the whole strip which will also disable the connectivity. bad things about this strip. There is no switches on the strip itself so if you lose connectivity you will not be able to control the individual outlets. The back of the strip in missing keyholes for mounting on walls or under a desk. and the clear lack of quality control. I intend on returning this one and hope the replacement does not arrive with manufacturing defects.

I purchased the 6-outlet version of this about a month ago, to use with my desktop PC and monitors, and so far it has been fantastic. I use it not with Alexa but with Google Home, and I have had no issues there. I did have a little difficulty setting it up - but that was entirely user error (I forgot I had changed my WEP key... oof), and had I not made that mistake, would have had it up and running within minutes of receiving it. Something I appreciate is that it makes a satisfying click when turning the outlets on or off, which is both pleasant (imo) but also useful for troubleshooting. The only thing Im not wild about is having to download a third-party app in order to integrate it with Google Home, but ultimately thats not been an issue. It doesnt take up much space on my phone and has not been pushy or annoying in any way - I tend to forget its there. Overall, this is a great value for a smart strip, I would recommend it.

I like it so much because I can control all outlets anywhere through phone and by Alexa at home

Amazing, easy instructions. Easy setup. Works great, the ONLY complaint I have is petty and Ill even buy more of these when I need more. Just doesnt have the little holes on the back to hang it on a wall like every other surge protector. If theyre going to make that upgrade, it would be perfect
