Ghost Controls 3-Button Remote Transmitter for Automatic Gate Openers, Model AXS1

When we orders our Ghost Controls gate, we only bought two remotes. Not a problem though, just bought this and paired it in a minute.

The initial programming of the first remote involves opening up the receiver unit with a screwdriver. It should not be necessary to program the remote by physically unscrewing the cover from the receiver. Once the first remote is programmed, that programming can be transferred wirelessly to any subsequent remotes that need to open the gate. There was a power problem with our gate witht the receiver power which made it necessary to we program all the remotes. The manufacturer could use Bluetooth to communicate with a smart phone app in addition to the more complicated step of unscrewing the cover on the receiver.

Why did I buy three, Im over 50 and cant seem to remember where I put the other two. Simple, easy to program, works with my driveway gate... so yeah, I guess I like these, I stuck with the same unit each time and was not disappointing.

Work great, they are larger than most such as mighty mule remotes. They are quite expensive for a remote. Plus is: if you are on a farm/ranch you can pair two gates to the same remote to open with separate buttons. Open one gate...let it close, open next gate. Works great.

Paired up to my ghost control gate 1st time and have not had any issues since. Easy to pair to ghost control gate. Many videos online showing how easy this is as well

I bought this spare remote with the sole purpose of dismantling it and hooking it up to a wireless smart switch relay. The range on the remote is fairly good. About a 100ft away from my gate, tucked away in the basement (so no clear line of sight), the signal is able to reliably open/close the gate. I dont know what the max distance is as I havent tested that. Search youtube for how to videos on hooking it up to a relay switch. Took me about 20 min, and Ive never soddered before. However, now this little remote is hooked into my alexa which allows me to control my Ghost Controls gate via Alexa and even automate things such as auto close/open on a schedule. No clue why Ghost Controls doesnt make it easier for folks to do this.
