Gillette Venus Extra Smooth Sensitive Womens Razor Blade Refills, 4 Count, Designed for Women with Sensitive Skin

I was already using Gillette Venus razors, but the disposable kind. The ones I use regularly are three blades, so this was my first time trying FIVE blades. It was also my first time going back to a refill-based razor in some time. I received only the refills of these razors, not the razor handle itself. Luckily, Gillette seems to have standardized its razors, as these refills fit the base for a different Gillette product I had. I think that this makes the razors more user-friendly, as I can mix and match the types of blades. Given that these razors have five blades, the head is quite large. They have the thin strip at the top which is standard with Gillettes womens razors, and frankly, Im not sure that this does much. However, these razor heads also have a strip underneath the five blades; I believe that this is what Gillette is calling the Skin Elixir lubrastrip. This strip is supposed to have aloe, and it really adds a LOT of extra lubricant. To me, it feels as if it is a little mini strip of soap helping to lather me up as Im shaving, almost eliminating the need for shaving cream/gel (which Im still using in more sensitive areas). The five blades are VERY sharp. They definitely provided a smooth shave, but I also had to be more careful of nicks than usual, especially in bumpy areas like my knees and ankles. I wound up feeling that the five blades were a bit of overkill; I think I would prefer the exact same razor except with three blades, which is why I gave these a 4-star rating. Otherwise, I liked the razors and would recommend them. UPDATE 4/30/19: Although the lubricating feature of these blades is very nice, I noticed that the lubrication decreased significantly after only about two weeks of daily use.

These razors are the most gentle refill ever. I have tried everything in my decades of shaving, these are TOP!

Price is better than the store and it works good for sensitive skin

This is a pack of 4 blade refills for a Venus razor. I have very little body hair except my head. I do have sensitive skin. These refills give me a close shave on my legs without irritation. I would not say there is any magic here or that they are better than other brands. I prefer this system to disposable razors. For a light user such as myself, these work well.

I like this brand. This razor shaves well and my skin was less irritated when using but the shave wasnt as close as it could be. Mainly I was a little disappointed that for something called Extra Smooth there wasnt a ton of extra moisturizing strips.

These razors left me with stubble. They do not do a close shave. Clippers would do the same job as these.

Great deal and cheaper than in stores. I have such sensitive skin and this is the only blade that I can use to shave my legs. I would definitely recommend if you have sensitive skin and are prone to bumps and red spots.

I think I became familiar with the Venus version a while back, cannot remember how long. I like it better than some other cartridges, but more a personal choice than a product quality. Shaving my legs is a breeze and when I am done, it feels very smooth and feel hydrated. Attempting to use it for any other part of my body, it is not as comfortable (just like the others). Price wise, I guess it is around the same range with competitors and can be pricey to replace but body comfort sometimes is priceless.

These are definitely a step up from the Venus three blade razors Ive used in the past but will not replace my Schick Hydro silk. The plastic surrounding the blades seems excessive in size whereas the actual razor area is much smaller than the competitors. I prefer a smaller head in shaving those tricky areas like knees but some may feel the larger head is safer. And as far as the tiny blue strip, I cant tell if it makes a difference. The other issue I have with the Venus razors is that although they do a good enough job when theyre new they seem to dull much faster than Schick.

Im a bit at a loss as to what makes these razors particularly good for sensitive skin. They work well as razors, but for people with very sensitive skin, these razors may still cause problems. My skin is moderately sensitive and these razors work as well as other, similar products. They do a great job of shaving. It only takes one pass usually and they make shaving fast and easy. If these razors werent marketing as being for sensitive skin, I would have given them 5 stars. I think these razors are worth the price. They last a long time and are much easier to use than cheaper razors. Overall, I recommend them to people who have moderately sensitive skin, but use with caution if your skin is very sensitive.
