Gillette Venus Extra Smooth Sensitive Womens Razor Blade Refills, 4 Count, Designed for Women with Sensitive Skin

We had to go out and buy a Gillette Venus, then dull the blade that came with it before trying out one of these heads. The verdict was, it gives a good close and smooth shave. I dont know that it is vastly better than other quality razors, but it worked well. The price point is good. At first I was very happy to see that there was no plastic packaging, but turned out that each razor head is encased in its own plastic bowl. Hoping for a plastic free packaging free future. I am happy for the refills.

These are the only razor blades that do not give me razor burn and really do moisturize my legs and remove all of the hair the first time. However, each replacement head is literally only good for 1-2 uses, which makes this an ABSURDLY expensive product to continue to use. After that, all of the moisturizer has washed off and it causes the worst razor burn without it (even if you use a shaving cream).

I love these razors. The handle has a nice, heavy feel and the blades ensure a smooth shave. They last a long time too especially if you place the razor somewhere it can dry out completely between uses.

Im a bit at a loss as to what makes these razors particularly good for sensitive skin. They work well as razors, but for people with very sensitive skin, these razors may still cause problems. My skin is moderately sensitive and these razors work as well as other, similar products. They do a great job of shaving. It only takes one pass usually and they make shaving fast and easy. If these razors werent marketing as being for sensitive skin, I would have given them 5 stars. I think these razors are worth the price. They last a long time and are much easier to use than cheaper razors. Overall, I recommend them to people who have moderately sensitive skin, but use with caution if your skin is very sensitive.

I really like the Venus razors because they have the head that releases moisturizer that both precedes and follows the blade as it is pulled against my legs. This means that I dont need to use a shaving cream separate from the razor, so Im actually able to shave in the shower. The blades glide smoothly and give a really smooth shave. I dont have to worry about nicks and cuts at all.

Was not easy on my sensitive skin. I usually get a purple box that has an extra strip for moisture along the bottom, didn’t think it would make much of a difference... it does! Would probably be just fine for a lot of people, just not for me. Know your “sensitive skin level” peeps and stick w it lol

She said that these didnt seem any better, or worse, than any other standard blade shes used, and they dont seem to last as long as she would have expected. Moisture strips didnt seem very effective either. Not the one she will select for the future...

I love the grip handle and easy to change blades.

I had laser hair removal under my arm. Saving up to do the legs maybe next year. I have always used the Venus product line, and loved it when they came out with the integrated, replaceable heads with the soothing cream, that really replaced the need to buy more gels or creams. The 3 blade cut is the best for a close shave. The 8 pack refills are under $20.

These Gillette Venus Extra Smooth refills have additional lubricating strips, which helps for a close and smooth shave every time. And I like that these refills are fully compatible with the regular Venus razors handles that I already own. Which allows me to try new refills to see if I like them more than the Venus regular refills I was using before. I noticed the extra gliding, which is nice, and it doesnt require shaving cream. I learned this after applying shaving cream, and realizing that it was too slippery, so I rinse the shaving cream, and just shave with this razor over my wet skin. I guess that its better to do the shaving right after taking a shower, and having rinse the soap off. The result is less cuts, nearly none, and neat skin all over.
